Does anyone know what the resolution of the DAC on the current Simpeds (like the Simped F16/USB) is? (8 bit? 10 bit? 16 bit?) I can't seem to find a reference to it anywhere and thought I'd ask here before trying to initiate an email conversation with DHS. I'm considering a bit of a controller upgrade for Christmas and really liked my Simpeds (which don't work well with a USB converter to begin with, and are old enough to not have brakes.)

I've been looking at the simped's myself. I thought I had read they were 16bit but I can't seem to find that data anywhere on their site.

I also had a look, can't find anything, but from a pure "wot I reckon" perspective (and I've owned CH pedals, currently have simpeds), they are at least the same res, if not better.
I know Lusche has a set also, perhaps he might comment (or know the answer)

Thx all. I'll email 'em, and post the answer back here for everyone else.

Ghastly....you might want to check the forums over at SimHQ.com since a bunch of the posters in the pit builders section there have those or have had them in the past.

Excellent suggestion. I emailed already, but haven't received a response, so I'll check there when I have time.

Gunter Hoffman replied to inform me that the micro-controller resolution is 8-bit, in case anyone else needs to know. This translates into a step resolution of 0.42 mm/step.

Good to know, thanks Ghastly
