The B29 is gonna be crazy perked, ya'll are gonna have to start at the HQ bases to get enough alt to get higher than the alt monkies. well...goodluck you B29 wanna be pilots!

What a Twist!

It took you two weeks to realize you should type this thread? :lol
-
Sure the B-29 won the poll. But that doesn't mean they will add it.

Jolly has been AWOL for about six months and this is probably the first thing he has seen since his return.

and then you read the frontpage...
-
What part of the B-29 is a Ya'll any way. :D
-
its dissapointing really, I think thre could have been a much more fun and exciting MA fighter/attacker that could hav been added. The fact that the yak-3 did not make it really bummed me out.
-
leave auto takeoff on and you can get to 10k in one sector. i do that all the time with B-24s and 100% fuel and 8, 1000lb bombs

The B-24 and B-29 are different planes, I mean come on, there's a whole 5 levels of difference between them...

yup and the B-29 is also faster then the B-24 and has a faster rate of climb. i bet that if you leave the auto take off on with the B-29 it will get to 10k in no time.

Cite it or bite it!
Is that a saying? I just made it up, I think we should start using it more.
Couldn't sleep so I got up and made a pot of coffee, I'm a little loopy...
Was it worth figuring out what this said?

I would have rather have seen a 1948 Desoto station wagon added than the B-29 but it is what it is.
-
OK, but the B29 was a poor decision for the next plane to get into the game.........I think that the beaufighter, A26, or the ki-43, OR THE P38M!
-
The Superfort was the most significant bomber to come of of the second world war! It epitomized America and the American war effort! No reason not to have it, all you anti-29ers are crazy! :old:
-
Before you can bomb stuff, you need fighters to clear the skies! Like i said, other fighters or fighter/bombers should be added first.

Then send me home if I'm crazy.

I HAZ PLAN!!11!!!!!
Use NOE B-25s to clear your route, to drag all the fighters down...then roll in with the B-29s at 40K and make their bases go BOOM.
-
Be like Forrest Gump on the B-29.
"And I said, that's good! One less thing."

Neither did the Japs but that did not stop the U.S. from still using B-29. Von is correct, it was a significant important in the PWT. Think about it, It was the ONLY long range heavy bomber to reach Japan before U.S. got Okinawan.

the b29 has been begged for for YEARS. its about time it gets its due.
and im betting this poll wasent for "what plane gets put in the game"
but more "what order will all these planes got put in?"
im betting every plane on that list is now being modeled for the game, just the b29 is going in first.

And what are you basing this belief on? Surely can't be the last poll...

The Slurpster has a point...The only point that he has made that I can understand. :D

Catching them taking off and landing will be a thing of beauty.

lancaster= Initial climb rate Climb to 20,000 ft in 41 minutes
B-29 = Initial climb rate Climb to 20,000 ft in 38 minutes
not sure what the problem is here!
both climb at around 900 feet per minute give or take 100 feet
