I have a idea that everyone will like. A day like "Titanic Tuesday" but only for no perk costs. That way we would be able to fly perked planes and get shot down without losing any perks. Besides the fact that everyone would be flying a 262 it would give those of us that don't have experience in perked planes some training for future duels. Now this would not just be for planes but also for tanks.
So do you want a no perked day?
"Messerschmitt Monday"/"No perk Thursday"?

Titanic Tuesday doesn't effect the settings of the game.
A no perk day would be a lot of 262s flying around HOing each other. Isn't jet week coming up in the AvA soon?
-
Now that sounds fun!!!

-1 Jayhawk explained why
If you want to practice flying perk planes try it offline or in the training arena, also you can go tot he furball lake.

They got rid of them in the DA

no, they never had them in DA. And there is no score in DA either.

If you want to practice flying perk planes without having to risk the cost of whatever meager perks you have, you can do that in the Training Arena or offline. When you've think you've reached the point that you can chuck off the training wheels and take a risk and up a perk plane in the MA, you'll now have the experience you crave and hopefully won't lose as many perk points flying a perked plane as you did in the past. Basically, if you want to up a perk plane in the MA, you should be prepared to take the risks associated with it.

They used to have the Me 262 and Me 163 enabled in the DA but this was a long time ago

Yeah I remember that.
Was clone talking about perks or jets? Because my response was thinking that he was talking about perks.

Perks...using the Me 262 as an example of a perk plane being enabled in the DA. Clone, I believe was referring to perk planes being in the DA and when you responded, I thought you were referring to perk planes and not the perks themselves. You're right, perk points have never been enabled in the DA.

Then just make it one each perky plane, only one Jet, no Jets, or one non-Jet perky every hour, or...etc...easy enough to stop the all jet hoard.. :salute

Or... keep it the way it is.

For me, part of the excitement is in the gamble that I take every time I up an expensive plane.
And the odds are certainly NOT in my favor.

or not! :)') Look JayHawk, How many points you got to spend whenever you want? I have never been a point-potato, however having a perk day once or twice a month ain't gonna kill the ego's of ANY uber pilots, not even yours. There is always a way to compromise to help those who rarely fly uber planes anywhere but the dueling arena, especially after paying for this game for a year or more....proving you'll probably stick around. :bolt:

This will still be true on every other non perk day, right? :headscratch:

No one has convinced me there is a need for this.
If you want to fly a 262 in the MA, you have to earn it. It's been that way for a long time, many a noob has worked long and hard to earn enough perks to launch his first MA 262, he throttles up, rolls downs the runway, pulls up gear, puts on auto-climb, and nosedives into the ground. :devil When the numbers are against you, you can easily get a 262 for 150 perks. I am far far from a "uber" pilot, but that's not too difficult an amount to earn up. This is you wanting the reward of the 262 in the MA without having to do the work to earn it.

I'm with the NO's on this one,, but if I where gonna do it,,, it would be "HAPPY HOUR" A two for one deal, or ladies drink free,,
Or maybe buy one and all the rest are free for the hour,, kinda like penny drinks,, pay two hundred perks to get in the door and fly all of them you want for the next 59 minutes! :airplane:
If it is ladies hour,, you would have to send in your picture ,, in a dress,, to get your free 262, and it would be posted for the week! :noid

Not just no, but HELL no.
Me262s vs Me262s and ruining any chance of a good fight is not a good idea.
-
Try it Karnak. Last time was an absolute blast. Actually 262's are available tonight vs Allied planes. Anything's worth a shot right?

I have tried it. It was boring as hell.
Playing "Dodge the Me262 swarm" isn't a very good evening. 50%+ of the aircraft were Me262s and for people who like to fight with pistons not hair dryers all it means is that we can't play.

Har! "Nobody can enjoy what I worked for because it somehow diminishes the hard work I put into it." What BS :huh
-
Darn kids today,
"I want I want I want"
"Well you have to work for that"
"NOOOOOO, I WANT IT NOW"
-
Like they always say, "It's my $14.95". They care about my $ just as much as they do yours.
-
There is ZERO risk in this game.
Nobody dies for real, no country's budgets are really strained to feed the war machine.
Work for your perks. And then enjoy the awesome feeling of taking your hard earned 262 up against the 91st or the Dickweeds.
If you land it (perhaps with a few scalps) you will have an awesome rush. A rush that says "I took a pricey ride and threw it at the best in the business."
Only then will you realize why people are so emphatically against this.

Why once a week?
Why once or twice a month?
It would get repetitive and VERY old, VERY quick.
Once a year I wouldn't mind.
-
-1.........262's and 163 should not be in this game anyway. There are alot more planes that should be in here that played a more important role in the Real war. 262's and 163's should have min perk of 500. So NO to free perk ride day of any kind :bolt:

Funny when I joined this gym, it stated that if I wanted to use the pool, that I would have to use it during certian times. Perhaps just because I paid my dues, I should complain the times are not convienant and they should open it just for lil ol me :cry
