Title: Internet Explorer 6
Post by: Replicant on November 10, 2001, 04:56:00 AM
Hi all

Is IE.6 any good?  Is it worth installing or waiting till 6.1?  Any known bugs?

Regards

IE6 works fine in this XP which is less stable than my old WinME.

Sigh... Guess I need to give it some vitamin named "Format c:"

I have it and it works good.  The only problem I've ran into is that the ftp browser built in will hang if you type in an address that doesn't exist or if the ftp server you are talking to stops transmitting.  There is already one security patch (for win2k at least) for ie6 on windows update.

The nice thing about ie6 is that you have a lot of options dealing with cookies (allow some sites to use them, and the rest can't.)

Well I've installed it, one feature I do like is the pop up mini menu bar over images that allow you to save direct instead of right mouse clicking!

Thanks guys
