Post by: TheWobble on April 11, 2001, 12:38:00 AM
I have the Necrosoft Intellipoint mouse it has 4 buttons

the normal left the normal right and the wheel, but it also has a button on the left sied and another on the right side...my problem is that in no game i have come across can i use either of the 2 extra buttons..

I would like to be able to program the just like you can the left and right...

Any ideas???

Buy one for HT and send him a bottle of Craggenmore... that would probably get that feature added.  (http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/Smileys/default/wink.gif)

Well, I will state the obvious first.  Have you already loaded the latest Intellimouse drivers from Microsoft's web site?  Be sure to get the right ones for the optical rat.

If you have, you should be able to map those buttons to functions.

The Intellipoint software will let you map those buttons to any keyboard keys you like.  Jut map 'em to whatever you like on theh keyboard, and map those keys to the required actions in AH.  Easy.  (http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/Smileys/default/smile.gif)

I LOVE IT!

after using an optical mouse for about an hour or so you will absoultley HATE using a regular "ball" mouse..it is so much more precise and smooth..

the difference is night an day..especally if you play any games where you use the mose alot, LIKE OPERATION FLASHPOINT.. Its a whole new smoother world, I would recommend one to anyone.

I hate wireless mice, they are never as precise (which is why its hard to find and optical one, whats the point in having one?), and you always have to worry about replacing that stupid battery.  I dont trust anything hat needs NON-rechargable batteries....i think its because i was never breast fed...
