Title: New Problem

I had another problem, reverted back to Win98se (fresh fdisk and format) and clean install, no probs until I try to run AH.

I get:

"Error:
Intialization failed with -5
mainSW_FAILED -2

I find this occurs after I select the video rez. I can delete the video file from settings and get another crack at it, but regardless of my selection I get the same results. My rig is:

AMD XP1500
K7VTA3 motherboard
256 MB DDR
GeForce 2 GTS 32MB DDR
Win98SE

Any thoughts?  :(

Problem Solved. It turned out my gamecard built into my motherboard was conflicting with my soundcard gamecard. I disabled the system gamecard, reinstalled the sound drivers, and all is cool again. Never mind.  ;)
