I wish for some different skins in the game. They really should be updated. Also I'd like to finally see some skins for the 39th FS as I understand some have been submitted. :pray

I've wished for more 91st Bomb Group skins, but I understand that information leading to historical accuracy can be difficult to acquire. I personally don't have the patience to dabble in creating skins myself.

The 39th has a really nice shark mouth 38G done by Oboe :)

Last time I submitted a 51 skin Skuzzy said something like 1-2 yrs before any new 51s are added ( B or D)

Yeah I seen that one. Even took it out for a spin in the DA. But my gwad that thing sucks to see out of. I honestly don't know how you fly it :lol. I'd like to at least see a J model with a 39th skin.

Yeah, I knew better then ask for anymore mustang skins even though there are some great ones in waiting. Even one for the 39th FS.
I was thinking along the lines of 38 skins. A good part of them are for the 475th which is a squad not represented in AH anymore....at least as far as I know. TwinBoom has the 39th FS squad and I just though it be nice to be able to fly a J or L model 38 with our own squads skin. But to be quite honest, I don't even know if the 39th flew J or L models. I know they flew P47-11s and 38Gs but thats about it.

lol sorry, i'm pretty tired. Translated, it means I'd like to have some P38J and or P38L skins from the 39th FS

I'll keep looking uptown, but since I joined the 39th I was looking for a J or L to paint for the squad, as at the time there were both J and L's available, now only L's (if you have a suggestion... hint.. hehe) , but I believe by the time the J came out (43?), the 39th was flying either their currently assigned 38Fs, Gs, or Hs, or being moved toward the Jug and later Pony.
If you can prove me wrong though, I'd be happy to hear it =)

39th lost their 38s` to the 475th and got Jugs before the J's and L's were there. Not sure if there is a 39th Jug. Don't think so.
Better get in that G. Once you get used to the views, it's no big deal. The J seems worse to me now in terms of views.

I concur, people often complain about the views in the G but I find the cockpit of the J/L models to be just as bad. I used to lose sight of the bad guys behind the bars surrounding the gun sight all the time. After a little time in the G I don't even notice the armored glass anymore. The 39th FS does have a P-47D11 skin in game.

I doubt you'll see a new 51 skin created for a long long time. I think the backlog is somewhere around 12-24 months. That tends to beg off a lot of good skins/skinners from working on them.
Now... if there was a 38L you wanted...*cough*
I don't have a problem with the 38G views. Only reason I don't fly them in the rare instance I get to fly lately is that I tend to like shiny metal aircraft above the OD. Dunno why. Though, if there were a 38 slot available.. say... 15 slots for a 38H... I would't mind seeing (or even doing) this puppy...
