And they're called "sleep myoclonus" episodes.

i have no idea what a "sleep myoclonus" episode is but it was pretty funny when i woke up and realized that i wasnt falling until i got out of bed. then after i set foot out of bed im terrified of the result, do i fall or am i touching the floor?  :rofl but its good to see that its not just me having these spaz-outs  :salute

Calvin and Hobbes was the greatest  :lol

Sim, can Sleep myoclonus be in conjunction with RLS?

yep ive had this happen to me many times. its not really a dream, more like a semi-conscience picture in your mind. you still feel like you're in bed, yet you see only the thought. you trip/fall, and WHAM. you end up in your bed and for a split second, it feels like you're falling.

you're not crazy :lol

I have those pretty often, usually shortly after falling asleep.  They are usually small things like tripping or slipping in a dream and as I try to regain my balance, I wake up sharply, only to make my girlfriend look at me weird.  I haven't had a good falling dream in a while.

Does anyone have reoccurring dreams? When I was a kid I often had one about wolves coming to get me.

What about a lucid dream?  Those are crazy.

Ever since I quit smoking 8 months ago I have recurring dreams about lighting up.  Happens a couple times a month.  Sometimes I'll wake up dissapointed in myself for cracking, only to realize I was dreaming.

When I was a kid on two different occasions I had episodes of the worst type of recurring dreams, night terrors.  Never want to go through that again and I'm sure the neighbors agree.

Had one when i was little.  Dreaming about my home being attack and then woke up from a loud thunderstorm.  I jumped right out of bed and ran like hell from the living room to the kitchen.  Took me a few minutes to gather my self.

This has happened to me even more since I've moved to college.

As of reoccurring dreams, I used to have these odd dreams of me walking down an endless hallway, road, path, or something that was lined with anyhthing from trees to soldiers.  But the creepy part about the dreams that really scared me was a growing noise that kept getting louder, and louder, and louder.  It was a noise similar to that found in the movie Paranormal Activity when the camera is recording and it is dead silent (except for the noise of the camera recording I guess...whatever sound that is is what I heard).

They say if you have a dream about falling..... if you hit the ground before you wake up... your dead.

Not true though.  I've had a couple where I was skydiving and my chute didn't open.  I hit the ground in both and woke up the next morning. :)

The dreamy part of the dreams:

In one, my parachute turned out to be a bedsheet, and I was jumping off of a radio tower.  After I landed, I excitedly climbed up the tower to do it again.

In the other, I saw my lifeless body from the 3rd person.

These were a long time ago -- now my dreams are usually of women.   :lol

nah, I've hit the ground after falling, been shot stabbed or most anything that a person could imagine. I'm unstoppable in my dreams...not to mention the ladies are always glad to see me :D

I was in a space ship as I watched the Earth blow up one time... lovely. I dreamt that Global warming had gotten so bad, the Earth overheated and blew up like an egg in a microwave. :lol

I was on the ship sent into space to preserve the human race :lol

I can't run for S&%& in my dreams, I suppose it's because my body is trying to actually run and my brain is suppressing it.  It always feels like I'm running through a pool of molasses.

every time in a dream where im in a situation where im shooting someone (defensively, of course), one, two, even ten rounds never stops the person/thing attacking me.

might be problematic when i join the Army :uhoh

That happens all the time to me, I've been in many dream situations where I draw and fire on someone.  I hit center body mass perfectly, but they just laugh and keep coming at me.

Same here man.. I have the hardest time running in most of my dreams... the dreams i can run in i'm as fast as the Flash

But i have never been able to run normally in a dream for as long as I can remember.

I also can't scream or yell in my dreams. Sometimes i need to yell at someone far away to let them know something but no matter how hard i try the yell just will not some out.

yea whats up with that? I can't run for s**t in my dreams. It's to the point that I created a super jump I can do to evade my enemy's. Next time you guys are dreaming try a "super jump" best thing I ever dreamed up...next to those naughty dreams that never last long enough.
