Okay, gonna try my hand at making a GV loveable map. I have but one major question for those that may already know...
Is it possible to place strats (cities, factories, HQs) back to back of each other and have them be specific to opposing sides? Was stationed in Berlin GE before the wall came down so was thinking of doing a situation like that where you have a large urban area controlled by 3 different sides. Figured putting strats down may get the effect after... :salute

Sorry, you can't use the strat cities as "clutter" for GVs. HTC have told me there are issues with putting extra copies of these cities or the even individual parts of them into MA maps for GVs to fight in. The issues are to do with auto AA and strat resupply, basically they are tied into the arena in a way that you can't get rid of in the TE.
IIRC the three or six main strat cities on an MA terrain have to be placed well behind the front line to prevent them getting bombed too easily. I'm not sure but I think I read HTC don't want any GV spawns into them either. Best to check with them before doing so. I believe your only option for some extra urban sprawl at the moment is to use the tanktown object in the TE.

Greebs, I used quite a few city tiles to make towns on my Twinrivr terrain and no problem for anyone has ever been reported. I have them set as Barrier so they are indestructible. There's been some great tank battles in those towns in the AvA. If that's what you say you were told, then of course I believe you, just wanted to point out it's been done in-game with no problems. Bear in mind I just used city pieces to make my own towns, not the entire huge city complex. :salute

The bridges were set as Bombable so that they were the only objects that could be destroyed in the cities.

I did the same thing on my CraterMA terrain and it seemed to work fine offline. I just made sure I didn't use any city tiles with strat factories or AA guns on them. However after submitting it I was told by Skuzzy that HT had said that it was not acceptable for an MA terrain because of the reasons I mentioned above.
At HT's suggestion I built some tiles in the OE to replace the city tiles in my terrain. I used the same parts that the city tiles use including the bridges. Now of course "no custom objects" is a rule for the MA so I don't know if these are going to be accepted even though it was HT's idea. Skuzzy hasn't had a chance to look at my revised terrain yet. However after testing my terrain TDeacon has just pointed out another problem with bridges for the MA. Anyone using low detail graphics apparently will not see narrow stretches of water at all. They just see the bridge over dry land. I'd have thought that made it a definite rejection for an MA terrain. So I'm now intending to get rid of any bridges that GVs might have to cross in my terrain, I'll just keep the ones I put in for decoration.
