HT mentioned this online, but I just now got around to trying it...for my PIII 800, instead of using a pre-set "800(133)".. I changed the multiplier to manual in the bios, using 124 with multiplier of 6.0 (744) and I went all week-end with no lockups, even with SBLIVE panel, and others back ground apps on.
Thks Hitech.

You lowered your speed, you don't have a 800 anymore (http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/Smileys/default/frown.gif)
Any noticeable diff in fr or anything? I've found disabling Norton anti virus and turning Zone Alarm off before entering AH has stopped my discos (this week)

Yep, tried that too Eagler, no avail.
Yes, running slightly slower, made no diff in the AH FR benchmark test however.
Me thinks its me MB, I have a Socket adapter and an older VA-6 Abit. No worries, no lock-ups, no FR decrease...so, onward and upward!

Once you get to about 700 Mhz or so, your framerate isn't going to change much. Your video card (even a GF2 Ultra) can be pushed to the limit at that point.
I can honestly say that if I run my Tbird @ 927 down to 824, I lose maybe 1 fps. Even that is questionable. Only application benchmarks shows that my system is about 6% faster for the extra 103 Mhz at best.

Okay, took advice (thks!) and got another 128 meg, to 256. Changed bios back to 800(133) and NO LOCK UPS FOR 3 DAYS. (http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/Smileys/default/smile.gif)
Also: Added the free utility TWEAKALL finally, free the memory up before playing, picked up 3 FPS with both of these, now getting 45 FPS in the AH Benchmark test at 1280 res, 32 bit color.
