Title: I can not play with zone alarm now.

Hi i have been playing h2h for the last couple of months. I used zone alarm with great results. Since the last patch it locks me out on the password screen.

I have tried a reinstall of za no luck. I have tried all the settings for AH too no luck.

Anyone have any ideas? I feel kind of naked with out a fire wall. I used to use hack tracer and it was amazing how many hits i got (http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/Smileys/default/frown.gif) HELP!

You have to tell zonealarm to allow AH to access the internet again with every patch.  If your screen locks up type "Y" before you touch any other key or else reboot.  Zonealarm has locked it up and is waiting for you to answer.

As Furious says it is waiting for you to Authorise the latest version to access the internet (Which it sees as a new program). I have had problems with the authorisation procedure above (Sometimes it just plain don't work for me)  (http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/Smileys/default/frown.gif) So another way if you have already had a lockup is..
Open zonealarm at click the programs tag you will find AH has a "?" in the 3rd column of the "Allow Connect" box. Just check the 1st column. and then it will work. (If Furious's method works for you though then use that)

As snafu says, you need to go to the program dialog of ZA.  If you just type "Y", you will need to do it everytime.  I just use the Y to end the lockup, then alt + tab to permanently allow AH access.

Although the Furious method does not work always. I tried the same trick back when I had zonealarm but 9 times out of 10 I was forced to boot. Really annoying especially when the patches were dropping like rain  (http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/Smileys/default/smile.gif)

So i just type y? When it asks if ah can connect? I have been clicking on the yes with the tab button. I must frozen 25 times so far lol.

Once Y has gone through, you'll just quit AH and then go to zonealarm program access properties and grant aceshigh.exe access over the net always.
It will then remember it always and not ask anymore.

it will remember this until the next update then you will have to go through the same procedure again
