I'm trying to figure out how many people are registered for aces high? Just curious.
I know you can check by the score but you can only view the top 50 not the bottom, and I don't know anyone that has the worst score.

You will never know the exact number. Business secret :)
But you can look for the lowest overall rank you can find, which unfortunately has been made much more difficult by the recent removal of "my rank" function on the scorepage.
Or, more tedious but much more precise, you can look up all pilot names listed in all plane & gv stats, then compile that data. That will give you the ID of all players that had killed or been killed at least once during a tour. Of course, you won't know about any pilot playing special events only (but this is a minority), nor do you know how many of them had a subscription. (Business secret again ;) )
In the LW arena, we had about 4000 "active" players last tour.

I thought it would be somewhere around 4000

Last weekend there were 400+ people in the SE arena while there were @ 350 in the MA's.
Silent minority...?

As bighorn was too subtle apparently: ;)
How many of those in the SEA are playing special events exclusively and do never enter the MA's, not even once? Compared to the thousands of players that do appear in the MA, this number is a small minority.

For what it's worth, I just started playing again - and after my first scoreless couple sorties my rank is 3850 or so in fighters. This excludes those who fly only buffs, GVs, and/or attack. But since most players are going to get into a fighter sortie at SOME point during the month, it reinforces the about 4000 number Lusche has talked about.
And for what it's worth, doing the same kind of experiment before I left, there were more players 2 years ago.

I use this method for keeping track of the numbers

The "myrank" option is still there. It is part of the sub-menu "Rankings", listed as "Single Pilot".
-
We need a pie chart showing all the options and percentage of players using them.

How could I miss that?

"AH stats 2010" is coming soon ... :)

You would have a "stats" chart...

He actually has a chart to chart his stats chart

Well, Hell, I will be the first to admit I suck as a fighter pilot and I am ranked currently # 2347, so I am going to say 2348 if you count Skuzzy :O :salute

I hope it's more then the 4000 number people are kicking around. Do the math. There is like 4 or 5 employees and a slient partner out there all looking to take a part of the profit. Plus the expenses for overhead. Not much left over.

well, 81147080 over all score is 4,000 so I am guessing a lot more than that.

I have a pet peeve with people who think Special Events is the "Main" thing in Aces High....they aren't....where is the majority of flight hours spent playing aces high...MA is where the MAJORITY fly

Probably snapshot. Noticed that last Friday evening as well. Think they set it up to where Grizz only got 5 rounds and everybody got to vulch him :neener: :salute

I can only say how many "active id's" have been in a particular arena, how many kills they did make and how many time they spent in different modes ect. That's all.
In other words, I can measure & compare general "activity" on the main arenas . From that, I can't really say anything about the business side, nor is that anything I want to. Too much speculation & guessing, and after all - it's not my business ;)
