It's an Antonov An-2....
-
I think the plane in Temple of Doom was a Ford Tri-motor, so no relation, here.
-
Actually I think technically it's a sesquiplane :headscratch:
-
It is interesting plane, I have seen a few in airshows here.

I can see a An-2 in the skies here regularly, it's based on a nearby airport and offers sightseeing flights

Yes, Except the silver metal skin it looks the same to me. :rock
"The An-2 indeed has no stall speed quoted in the operating handbook. Pilots of the An-2 say one can fly the aircraft in full control at 30 mph (as a contrast, a modern Cessna four-seater light aircraft has a stall speed of around 55 mph)." WOW! :airplane:

There's one named "Natasha" that shows at the Geneseo airshow here in western NY. I don't know where it's based. My buddy loves it because he'd like to put floats on it and use it as an air mobile RV for camping. It'd be perfect. Lots of room and rugged plane.

I was really surprised how well the Photo came out on the new cell phone. Partly because of the phone and the undercarriage and bottom of the cowling were filthy even though the rest was very shiny. I guess typical oil spray from the engine. :aok

I've heard that if you lose an engine in this plane in conditions where you have zero ground visibility, you'll be fine if you just pull the yoke all the way back and wait..gravity will do the rest and you'll most probably come out of the incident unharmed. :D :rofl

lol similar to the plane in destination truth they were flying then BWAH *roof flies off*
