Hi Everyone....
Well first off I finally have a full CH setup with the arrival of the Fighterstick yesterday! I must say, that thing is a beast and I am not entirely certain that I like it due to its size and the way I can "feel" the pitch/yaw "detents"...but I am giving it a go!
What I am having issues with is the CH Pro USB Throttle. I wasn't sure what was going on at the time but after playing around, I have discovered that if the power cord is touched slightly at the entry into the housing....the throttle loses power and hence I hear the Vista "Badum badum" sound. It seems to have it's calibration still but needless to say the cord is going.
I looked at the throttle....it is 4 years old and is out of warranty. I think that it would be something as easy as a wire that is fraying or not secure but was wondering what you all have experienced with this.
Can you simply remove the rubber feet? Mine are on there with something like liquid nails.
Love the throttle but can't fly with this issue for much longer.
Thanks for the assist!
:)

Yes you can remove the feet (double sided tape) and you will find screws. If you can maybe shorten the cord about 4 inches and re-attach the cord you should be good for some time.

1 inch x 2 inch hard block of foam superglued to righthand side of hand rest will allow you to reach top hat switch :old:

If it is a problem with the usb cable, CH sells replacements at their online store. http://www.chproducts.com/shop/parts.html
It's easy to replace.

Thanks Folks!
Time to take her apart tonight! I may have to get the USB cable and did check out CH...they have them for sale so if I can't figure this one out I will just purchase a replacement!

.......and this has what to do with a power cord?

He also stated that he wasn't sure of the height of the stick, reaching for the 8 way hat. I cut a piece off the grandkids swim noodle 5/8 of a inch and glued it to the hand rest.

It's not my fault you have the hands of a girl.

:x  :lol

I don't have small hands or as you say hands of a girl. My right hand is half disabled due to a hand injury 20 something years ago. I'm lucky to have my right hand.

i am suprised CH don't supply gizmo for Joystck as they supply little black cilps for pedals so they can be used as racing car pedals :old:
Another little hint with CH stick is in CH calibration software is not push stick to its full extent left right etc it makes the stick respond a lot more quickly :joystick:
I have a combat flight chair which allows me to position stick at diiferent heights as well :joystick:
