Dear AT&T
If you want my money keep your frigging online bill pay UP!! Do NOT make me wait for 40 minutes to MAYBE speak to a CSR. Wow I was ready to invest in another piece of hardware that 'would boost my cell signal' today as your coverage at my house, in the middle of one of the most heavily populated areas in Texas, just so I could make a FRIGGING CALL from time to time without worrying about poor coverage. Oh and by the way.. since I'm paying extra for the super duper way fast internet could you please explain why I'm getting 100% packet drops at 70.143.192.76? It's a tad annoying for me when I'm finally for once in my miserable life saddled up on somebody and my screen stutters.
And yes, oh yes, I really enjoyed the hour of listening to your robot tell me what great deals I can get by spending MORE money with you.
HOW ABOUT YOU HAVE A LIVE HUMAN BEING ANSWER THE PHONE?!!!!!!! Oh, and if you don't mind, please make it someone I can understand.
Is that TOO much to ask?
sorry but I had to get that off of my chest.
-
Got a clue for ya. This ain't the AT&T help line either. :huh
-
Move over to the UK. We aint got guns, but we got fast internet and great customer support
-
it's utter nonsense, the only thing keeping them afloat is idiots and the damn iPhone. I'm about to switch, tired of pointless 2 hour sessions on the phone to get my internet up and running again.
-
Dumped ATT a few months ago and no regrets.

i use verizon dsl at home.........and it's more than fast enough for what i need.....never get booted from the game either.
t-mobile for my cell phone, pretty good price for way more time than i ever need, unlimited internet on it, and it takes me about 3 minutes to get to a real person.....on a bad day. :devil
-
Come to Verizon, you know you want to...
Speaking of iPhone, their contract is up this year. Rumor has it that the iphone will be on verizon. I don't know why you would want an iphone over some of the other phones offered, but if thats what you want then whatever.
I have the HTC Incredible on Verizon... amazing.
-
I wouldnt want to support Steve Jobs and his belief of the iphone superiority.
Android is a much better OS anyways. I havent had a chance to try the Windows mobile phones yet, but did want a windows mobile as my next phone if it wasnt released a month after my last phone died.
-
Old windows phones were slow and froze. Why do you want a Windows phone over a Droid?
-
I have an android now (HTC Aria), I just wanted to try the new windows mobile before I made my decision. The new windows 7 phones look pretty impressive.

Early 2011 supposedly. Verizon gets the iphone 5 soon, Sprint later on, AT&T is about to take a HUGE downfall.
-
Jan. or Feb. of 2011 is when Verizon will be able to sell the iPhone.

No one actually knows when the contract is up between Apple and AT&T. We know how long it was for, but not when it was signed. There's also been no official announcements regarding Verizon and the iPhone. I wouldn't be suprised if they never pick it up. Android phones are just about equal with new phone activations already, and the next gen of android phones doesn't come out for the next few months.

AT&T works while on the Guadalupe river. I'll be switching to it in the near future.
T-Mobile will be losong a customer. Sprint sucks and will be losing a cusromer also. My wife has sprint.
Just so you know...... there is no phone company with a 4G network in the US.
-
Was just told by a buddy who is an a Southeastern Regional Manager for Verizon that just launched 4G in Atlanta and Nashville but they will not have the iPhone4 before next summer and the "iPhone5" is not scheduled or even on the books to anyone other than AT&T due to an exclusivity contract that Apple has with them and no one knows if or when that will expire since it is all about money.
BTW my next phone regardless of carrier will be an Android based phone.

4G locations are sparse, but do exist. Mostly going through the latter testing phase of Sprint. My neighbor used to work for Nextel/Sprint. He now is in Houston working for Verizon.
-
Idk about any other carrier but AT&T smartphones have access to HSPDA network speeds.

Yes that is true but only IF the network they are on can accomodate those same levels...meaning Japan, Korea, Taiwan...no one else that I know of has that network setup yet.

There are no actual 4G networks period. No network currently operating or planned has anything near 4G speeds.
The reference to 4G is in name only.
I have seen articles on Fox and CNN. Here is one on cnet that poped up with a quick Google.

Reading the story and seeing how many people were put on hold reminded me of your post.

that's just disgusting. Makes my little irritation seem unimportant.

I know from personal experience with my old HTC Tilt...it was always connected to HSPDA in most areas. It occasionally dipped into 3G or EDGE networks.

True, but they are a decent improvement on current 3G networks - if your device has a big enough battery.

Yes they are faster than before but nowhere near 4G.
Lieing is called advertising now. I guess why not since treason gets a slap on the hand.

Ya, AT&T sucks. I dropped Verizon when they were giving me problems, and now, AT&T is worse. On my phone, I only get service about 1/4 of the time and I'm not even 20 miles North of Austin.

Oh, well I actually used to get very good service everywhere. When I had verizon, there was never signal at my house. I get it all the time with AT&T. IMHO, their quality has gone downhill since I first started using AT&T 2 years ago.
-
I had an awful time about 6 months ago when I had to deal with AT&T customer service. 12 hours over two days I was on the phone due to internet problems.
I watermelon you not.
Two days ago, I was out on the ice in the middle of a blizzard, calf deep in slush in b.f.e. and I had three bars.
Go figure.

While T-mobil works in many areas, it fails in others where I need it. I've been with them for a number of years. I'll be going to AT&T in march.

i stick with em, because the reception is exceptionally good for me. their customer service has never been anything short of spectacular. the plan i have gives me a lot of stuff, and is fairly cheap.
there are 3 places i have problems. one on arc rd right by the south jersey airport....in a heavily wooded area. second is another wooded area by the same airport on stacey haines rd. the third is anywhere inside my home, but these are only during summer. when i drive to florida, i've never not been able to make or receive a call.
