Title: Gun sounds
Post by: AKDogg on December 19, 2010, 11:53:50 AM
I wish that all guns sounds are dependant to the actually vehicle that is firing them.  What I mean is, If u are in a M4/75 and a tiger fires his gun, U hear your tank gun sound file, not the tigers gun sound file.  Same with planes.  If you have a plane with all MG's and a plane around you (lets say the tiffy) has all cannons, It still plays the MG file, not the cannon sound file.  Same with the osti and whirbel.  Plays the MG files when u are in a M16 or what ever.

also add make the sounds stop as soon as you get killed, so we don't listen for the second or two in the tower.

I'm curious as to what the positive outcome would be?

If you're referring to the OP, it makes a huge difference to Dogg, TB, myself & some others that dabble in this area of the game.

So u can tell if it a osti, a whirbel, tiger or whatever without even seeing it.  You can tell just but hearing the gun.

He's talking about when their main gun fires.  Soundpacks have different sounds for different tanks.  When you're in a GV and someone else fires, their gun sounds like whatever GV you are driving, yet their engine and tread sounds are correspondent to that tank.

Same goes for planes.

For the wish, I like it, and I have wished the same myself.

With my soundpack I can identify each tank if its rolling but not by its gun.

When the out other guy shoots you hear the sound of whatever tank you are in, not the one he's in.
