Now, anyone have:
1. fifa 2010
2. test drive unlimited (awesome game)
3. ace comabt 6? (lots of controls to do, but i like it.)
I plan on getting black ops and then xbox live after the year, so maybe we can hook up and play some?

should of got a ps3 instead, we got a HUGE line of new exclusive games coming out in 2011. and its overall the better console. could sell your 360 and get enough for a 160gb ps3 :)

I own both and while the PS3 has some prettier graphics, I far prefer the game play and XBox Live to Sony's game play and network.

i owned 2 360s before i owned my ps3, both crashed. one to red ring, the other just stoped working. finally got a ps3 and its easily the better gaming system. corrently i have a "supercharged" 500gb ps3 that will kick the snot out of any failbox that tries to stand with it. :rock

Xbox has better games while the PS3 has better graphics. Both have network failures at times, but both are still fun. PS3 controllers take some getting used to but once they are mastered, you are unbeatable :P (except by another of the PS3 clan). I've found the Xbox controllers to be much more resilient than the Playstation DualShock controllers (I hated losing, ah, those dents in the walls bring back fond memories of times past).
(This is highly opinionated and not based on data whatsoever).

What do you need 500gigs of memory for? I've got a 250, and have all my music and have used about 20 gigs of space. Both of our responses are biased, and we wont ever agree, but they both have their ups and downs.

actually, the PS3 has more exclusives than 360 does. which all of them are ether rated within the same level or higher then 360's 3 exclusive games.
what sucks tho is that the ps3 suffers on multi-platform games because of the 360's lack of ability. game developers have constantly said that the reason why the games are coded on the 360 and ported to ps3 is because the 360 cant support the level of design or coding the ps3 has.
only way i see that the 360 was succesful is because its a cheap console, and microsoft has shelled out major $$$ in advertisement deals, etc to put the 360 in the limelight.
and recently its been exposed that microsoft has been paying companies to sabotage ps3 games when it comes to mutli-plats. the first developers to come forward and expose this was the former infinity ward. who stated that activision took huge payoffs from microsoft to make the ps3 versions of COD's online have lag problems/matchmaking issues, and other nagging annoyances. otherwise the 360 version is "perfect".

it shut down for a major update, and it was only for like 3 hrs. it shut down so it could upload hulu to its inventory along with netflix, and to come out with a whole new design.
and ive had the same ps3 controller for 4 yrs now, doesnt even have a scratch on it.
and they feel more comfortable to hold for a longer period of time than those fat failbox controllers.

Seems to me that there is such a following of each system. That if everybody stopped making "exclusive" games. Both gaming platforms would benefit.
My son just got the 360 to replace the one that was stolen from his college apartment last year. He was on the fence between the two over which one he wanted and would have been just as happy with either one. The only differences were that has still has his 360 games cause they only stole the system. And PS3 has blue ray.
Well. We dont have any blueray disks. So that really wasnt an issue. In the end it came down to which was going to get the most use. Well he already had all those games And he ended up getting the 360 originally over the PS3 because it had the longest list of games that he wanted to play. Which really should be THE determining factor to purchasing any gaming system.
And he has enough of friends with the PS3 that they bring their systems over each others homes so they can play the games that the other doesn't support.
"This one" is better "That one" is better is all a load of cr@p. They both play games. They both have ups and downs. If the parent companies of these systems relly felt so strongly that their system was better. Both would stop making "exclusive" games and let the chips fall where they may. Though in the end they, and the companies that make the games themselves would all benefit.

I got a wii for christmas :noid I think of exchanging it for a 360, but I've had one before and it broke. I have yet to hear anybody say they were very amused by wii, actually anyone I know to even have one only uses it as a paper weight.
Anybody else have one and know any great games to play on it?
1 good thing is a new zelda comes out in 2011 woop woop!

In all side-to-side comparisons I've seen, the Xbox 360's graphics trump the PS3's by a fairly pathetic margin.
I don't get involved in console wars generally because they're even more stupid than OS wars, but from what I understand the PS3 has a bunch complex, impressive sounding hardware that in reality is nearly useless, which is why the Xbox 360, in practice, generally produces better results.
From personal experience, the online experience is better on the 360- almost no one has a PS3, and, after all, the only point to having a console is to play with your friends, as console games are crap.
Also, the Playstation controller is way too small and the joystick positioning is terrible.
Wii may as well be the best option due to the fact that there's more 'party' games that are fun to play with multiple people that are physically together, also due to all of the just-plain-fun Nintendo games available for it.

Wii definitely has more family games then 360 and PS3. If you have kids, then a Wii is probably the best.

Got the kids (9 and 6) a wii for Christmas. I figured Mario Kart was more appropriate than a zombie massacre. :lol
They're loving it, but does anybody know of any titles that a grown-up might enjoy? I figure on getting Goldeneye (always had a soft spot for that one) I saw Black Ops is out for the wii as well. Any reviews on that one?

I played CoD 4 on the Wii and I wasnt impressed. Wii sports seems to be pretty popular with everyone, my dad is 60 and he loves to play sports resort.
(also you might enjoy Mario kart, it's really addicting.)

Killzone 2 definitely had the best graphics I had ever seen on a game, and Killzone 3 is the reason I kept my ps3.

Dude xbox DOES have better graphics considering I have both, I only got a ps3 to watch movies off Netflix and because it's jailbroken so I can do challenge and derank lobbies in CoD

god, you are so wrong. if your talking about multi-platform games, then yes the 360's graphics are better in that department and ive allready stated why. look at red dead redemption for example, on 360 it could go to 1080p, but on ps3 it was only for 720p. the reason for this is because of what i stated before, the 360 cannot support the type of graphics ps3 can, so pretty much 360's 1080p graphics would look like 720p on ps3, but if you were to take EXCLUSIVES, and compare them 1v1, the ps3 would come out ontop. like say, halo3 vs resistance 2. or gears vs killzone 3. or forza vs gran turismo 5. or better yet, all the 360 exclusives vs uncharted2. uncharted 2 truly symbolizes the ps3's potential in graphics. and we're still getting BETTER graphics. like i said the only thing the 360 has over ps3 is multi-platform gaming. other than that the ps3 is the better machine hands down.

remember way back when modern warfare came out? infinity ward released a statement which outraged the failbox fanboys and made me laugh. they flat out said the ps3 had more potential,better graphics, more coding space, and was more reliable than the xbox360. you can find the article on gamestop if you dont believe me.

i have a passionint hate for the failbox after i was foolish enough to buy 2 of them, with which both became a total waste of money do to being a crappy machine. (one got red ring 2 months after playing, the other i bought to replace the first, but it died from "overheating" a weak after i got it!)

Fixed. People might listen to your arguments more if you improved your spelling. That is true for a forum or a resume' for your job. Just a heads up... (Grammar Nazi here).
Anyway, both problems are fixable. The RROD is fixable by overheating the Xbox. You simply wrap a ton of towels over it and make it run. You can also take the machine apart and add new heat sinks, which is what I believe I heard causes the RROD. Overheating... Just let it cool off? :headscratch:
There shouldn't be any damage to either machine and they should still run fine.

thats not the point, the point is m$ was in such a rush to push the 360 out before the ps3 that they sold a crappy machine with many problems. lets count them down.

all these problems lead to m$ giving the failbox a 2 yr warrenty. TWO YEARS.
i'll name off the ps3 problems too, just so ppl dont scream "your biased!"
ps3 problems were only
-the blue light on the ps3 which signifys the "blu ray" is working would sometimes not come on. this was fixed with a simple hardware update.
- older model "phat" ps3s couldnt connect to the internet due to a clock bug. this was fixed 2 days after it began occuring with a simple systems update downloaded via internet.
and you say the 360 is the better machine? :headscratch:

They will sell you a separate 3 year warranty on top of the 2 year manufactures (spelling?) warranty.
In 2013, it's time for me to buy a new xbox.

i love how m$ has kinect in the limelight like its the most advanced motion control on earth, yet the eyetoy from sony was out for the ps2 and the playstation eye for ps3 before xbox(and nintendo) even got into the motion capturing business.

and good for you, your one of the few lucky ones, buts its been recorded and widely known the problems of the failbox,
and its problem because consoles are supposed to be ADVANCING and becoming better and better. ps3 and wii dont use pop out disk holders, they got rid of those. but xbox360 does, and we're supposed to consider this failbox "high-tech"? nope. playstation 3 is the future :)

How is a diskless tray more high-tech than a disk tray?
Nintendo consoles never had a disk tray, the Gamecube was a pop-open deal.
Also, I don't see how you could say GT5 looks better than Forza III.
