Okay, completely random question.
What beverage do you prefer this time of the year?
It can be as simple as tea or hot chocolate or as complex as one of those white chocolate latte' things from Starbucks (dey tast goo'od).
Mine is a simple mug of tea with some honey in it. I will however substitute tea for coffee in the mornings, but only every so often.
So there you go! Wondering if I could create a following, but instead of scantily clad women or a trivia question, just a simple "comment question;" people could reply with both an answer and a question. But anyway, answer first, then give me feedback on the thought of a series thread afterwards. They'll be completely random and based on the questions people provide (or my own if need be).

Coffee. Plain and simple black coffee. I've kinda begun to rely on it getting me up in the morning, and this habit is just reinforced by my parents, who got me a French press and tons of coffee for Christmas.
-
In the morning its milk (chocolate if I splurge), OJ or a sports drink for the summer heat.
After that its usually water, sports drink or soda, probably a little too much soda in there though.

in the winter....hot tea with honey(especially if i feel a cold coming on), hot chocolate, water, soda
in the summer, mostly water, iced tea, chocolate milk, soda

Looks like we have a bit of action, even on a busy weekend. Who would like to make "Comment Questions" or possibly "CQs" a series or threads? If yay, reply and add a question with it, if I can get at least 10 people to reply, I'll start something. :aok

Well, as far as winter is concerned, I always enjoy a piping hot cup of mint tea. On the weekend evenings I enjoy my Wild Irish Rose red wine.
And on more rare occasions, I'll pick up a bottle of this:

According to my Lexington-born Grandad, this recipe will serve
"four Southern Gentlemen and their Ladies, or a dozen Yankees and their women"
Joe Shelby's Kentucky Eggnog
1 dozen large eggs
1 quart whole milk
1 pint heavy whipping cream
1 cup sugar
1 large pinch salt
1 quart Kentucky Bourbon (e.g., Jim Beam)
3 ounces dark Jamaican Rum (e.g., Myers)
freshly-ground nutmeg for garnish
Separate eggs, reserve whites for whipping later.
In a large bowl, combine egg yolks and milk, beat until smooth.
Add sugar and salt, beat until completely dissolved.
SLOWLY add Bourbon and Rum WHILE BEATING eggnog.
Clean beater, whip cream, fold into eggnog.
Clean beater, whip egg whites, fold into eggnog.
Serve in wide-mouth mug, top with pinch of nutmeg.

Enough soda and coffee to kill a herd of elephants.
Miller, rum and coke (normally capt. morgan but i found a slightly cheaper brand that mixes just as well...Admiral Nelson), have some vera nice homemade white wine I received as a Christmas gift.
2 things I avoid.....tequila (white) is responsible for the only blackout I have ever had and Firewater (the smell makes me gag after my last experience with it.)
On a public service note when planning on drinking copious amounts of schnapps a food to avoid like the plague is hotdogs with nacho cheese on them. (nacho cheese apparently adheres to the sinus cavity on the way out) :old:

I like White Russians instead of eggnog for this time of the year.
