about 20 inches on the ground in south jersey.

i drove from sicklerville to lindenwold around 6 or 630 last night, and visibility was just under 1/4 mile. i'm at my shop right now. most main roads seem clear, but the back roads suck. thank god for my jeep.  :D

we had worse than this last winter here.

i think it was 03 or 04 that i drove back from florida in my 85 5th ave. hit a massive storm in georgia, kept pushing.....finally got stuck in dunn nc. i couldn't keep it on the road anymore. when i came out to the car in the morning, there was 1/2" of ice covering the whole thing. roads sucked till i hit virginia. apparently, they know how to clear em.  :aok

The post below is from yesterday in the EAGLES GAME thread here in the O'Club

<snip> Plow is on the truck, did that at 12am last night. Got home from a family get together and just decided to check the weather for today. I was floored to see this storm coming. All the forcasters said it would be farther east and or off shore. Epic Fail there. Said it would start around 7am here, another Fail, its 12:30 and not a flake yet ( sorry im a bit bitter, could have slept in an put the plow on this morning) <end>

They were calling for 8 to 12 inches where i live in Center Valley PA (closest city to me is Allentown) . In actuality we got 3 inches, barely enough to shovel or snowmobile  :( There is enough to go out into the woods for some hunting, so its not all bad  :aok.

Wife is cooking away, (she does this when it snows, in all the years we have been together, i still cant figure out why )  have a feeling i may gain a lb or 2 before this day is out  :D

I saw where you guys on the other side of the river got hammered CAP, good luck over there sir!

it's melting off pretty quickly.

i was watching this storm coming on www.noaa.gov it was up a little west of the great lakes mid week last week. it went southeast, then hooked a left into georgia, then came up at us.
what surprised me, was that it wasn't coming along the coast, but rather it came at us from south/southwest. the angle it came up at is i think what spared you baily, as it was traveling northeast when it hit us.
we still have some strong wind gusts right now, and i wouldn't be surprised if we lose power sometime during the course of the day today.

tuesday morning. warwick rd still effed up. laurel rd kind of ok. my road effed up. upland way effed up. upland way is in haddonfield.....an "upscale" sort of town. the homes along this road are easily over 1million. i think taxes in this town suck worse than most of nj. i'd be pissed if i lived there right now.

NJ Coastline got hit by 30 inches or more of Snow. My brother is claiming 32 inches in Toms River :x We got about 12" of snow in North West NJ but it's hard to tell with the snow drifts. We lost power for about 14 hours early Monday morning but things are returning to normal.

Cheers,
gus

101.5 has people calling in constantly, still being stuck in traffic.

the funny thing is that we had more last year, and less trouble dealing with it.
