Title: Get rid of grass patches under old style city object
Post by: oneway on December 27, 2010, 04:24:07 PM
Terrain Guru's

How do I place an old style City on a terrain without the green patches of grass that are embedded in it?

I just need the buildings and roads.

Any help appreciated

you can't, those green patches are more than just grass, but hills as well. If they were removed then buildings would be floating in the air. You can add individual buildings however, make your own city.

Raptor,

Thank you for the reply...

I am not trying to use the object in a completed terrain...I need an image for the purposes of creating a map of the city.

In other words the arena will never actually be compiled into an arena, and in fact the object or group will be deleted.

I just need take a top down screen shot of the old style city inside of the Terrain Editor so I can end up with something that looks like this when done; without the grass.

Or to put it another way, and it would be perfectly acceptable, how can I control or change the bitmap so that it paints the same orange/brown color as my terrain back ground.

If that's the case, just remove cityg0 from the tile. That'll remove the grass, the hills and the roads.

If you really need the roads, then paint them back in.
