I would like to wish for the other players perks when I shoot down a perk ride. If I kill a 262 I get all glorious 200 or so perkies it cost the guy to up it.
+'s
Players can actually get their perks a bit quicker. I personally never seem to have over 200 because as soon as I can afford a 262 I lawn dart it.
It would discourage guys from flying perk rides because 1) they will hear many thanks on 200 for the perks. 2) they will get dogpiled everytime by guys like me that are perk hungry.
-'s
Guys in perk rides will get dogpiled.
Thoughts?

Guys in perk planes will get dogpiled already. I have de-capped friendly airfields just by flying nearby low and relatively slow in a Me 262, dragging away more than a dozen fighters all keen on shooting down a 262. A 262 will attract all the attention, no matter how much perks one can gain by shooting it down. Same goes for other perk rides.
The only thing is that perk rides would be used even more cautiously than before, because no one want's to give his enemy the 200 perks.
Beyond that, I don't see a reason to give players the perks a bit quicker (you could simply ask for a perk price reduction).

I'd recommend to learn to fly the 262 then instead changing the perk mechanism for everyone, just because you suck in it :neener: ;)

I'm all for faster perk farming!!! Not sure if this is the good way to go, but it would make things really interesting! :aok
-
It might be fun if you shoot someone down you get their earned perks fo that sortie. So if you kill someone who has earned 3 perks you get the kill-perks and the stash they failed to land.
just a random idea, i don't care one bit about perks
other than that....perk gambling in the DA :aok

This could players make target high eny planes first, as a ENY 25 plane pilot would probably have more perks earned than a ENY 5 plane one. Not sure if that would be the desired effect. ;)
-
You already earn more perks for shooting down better planes with lesser planes - that's what ENY and OBJ values are for, as well as the bonus multiplier based on country player numbers. Just up more ENY 20+ planes and learn to fly better. I don't think people should "win" the perk cost of a plane for hitting them with that one golden BB.

perhaps, but if you target the P40b before the la7 you're not going to land the perks yourself. Not to mention the fact that very rarely does a p40b fly around with a bunch of kills in the bag. You see a high alt p51, you could reasonably expect that they have a few kills already, and therefore some perks to steal.
I geuss you are right though, I wasnt really trying to fix the game just had an idea. I like the game already :)

Think about the whining you could generate though :t
Player A shoots down B and gets all B's perks added to his. Player C shoots down player A and adds all of A's earned perks (which include those from player B). Keep going, and some noob pulls off a lucky shot, lands 1 kill and earns 800 perks!

Lolz, QFT....
No, all I am saying is that if you think about it as cash, HTC is making all the money. There should be a transfer of wealth to those that earned it, not the magical vortex.

you can have my perks, I dont use them. I actually auger 262's because I get bored and dont want to fly it back to the base. maybe you can wish that. :D i was listening to the country channel yesterday when it was proposed. I thought it was funny.

Send them my way bud....

I don't like either of these ideas. I think it would just encourage people to land their kills ASAP to decrease the chance that they will get bounced before they can stow away their hard-earned perks.
More people headed home+more caution=less fights=less fun.
Just my ¢2

I don't even up perk birds atm. Apparently sometime in the last 2 months I angered the disco gods. I am positive as soon as a 262 hit the runway I would disco. (this has nothing to do with the fact that frontier took over verizon's DSL in the area during the same time frame... :noid)

that would be bad, agreed.
-
I do not think that would be the case. I doubt anything would change in terms of who takes up a perk ride or who does not. Most folks fly them once, die, then wait until they get better to try again. Others are hindered by discos, etc... If I can kill a Tiger in a T-34/76, depending on ENY I can get little to no perks at all. I say the disparity alone between those two systems merits the guy getting the kill receiving the cost of the Tiger from the other player. Same could be said about airplanes. Just a thought. The other day I screwed up in my 262, L(insert player ID) should have gotten all of my perks for that ride as a reward for shooting me down. Since we had a high perk bonus at the time I doubt he received more than 2-3 perks for killing my jet in his plane. Seems a bit unfair is all.
-
Perks are an incentive to get better.
As a rookie you have none and want them to try out the more expensive toys. Learning to fight better and graduating to more difficult planes in the MA earns you points faster. By the time you have enough perks for some of them you should be a bit more capable in them.
Giving them away free from other players with just cut that corner isn't going to help them learn.

I think A PERKED plane should have to give the killer 50% of what the perk ride costs..Forget about perks of any other planes INGAME..Just the perked rides... :D

Trouble is falcon, I reckon only 5% of the paying customer base posts input into the BBs on a regular basis. This is just me guessing of course, 5k people, about 100 who are very active. So if HTC does indeed read some of this stuff the contrary opinions may not reflect what people want/need.

I almost never fly a perk rides and I have over 7000 fighter points and about the same in bombers and about 10.000 GV points and never use um. However I like the ideal of getting the other guys perk point for no other reason then the entertainment value of the massive whines on 200.
