So this Christmas my family got a new wireless router because the last one died, and after I finished setting it up, worked perfectly fine with the Internet and everythin on all the computers in the house except mine! I'm the best with computers in my house (whIch isn't saying much at all) basically what happens is I connect to the wireless network, but then my laptop says the network is "unidentified" while having the network name right next to that. I've tried what the computer says to do and nothing is working, any help please?

Did you go to your control panel-network and sharing "Set up a network"?

I bet it's vista, isn't it?

I bet it's vista, isn't it?
My thoughts too. I regret installing that on some family members' PCs...

well, just had the same problem using the network at my cousins house (in omaha until the 9th). And i just got it figured out after a second try, gonna try it when I get home.

Well, I got home and still can't get the damn thing to work. Is there anything I should try or do?

Is the SSID the same as your old router?

don't really know, the old one and new one are both the same brand though
