Title: help, my monitor is funky!!

Hi all, while playing AH tonite, very briefly, I alt+tabbed to check something and my display did something very strange. It went from my viewable screen encompassing all that ther was to see to only a little bit of the display showing. I then restarted the machine and my resolution returned. I was running 1280X1024 in 32 bit color. I lowered the resolution but  my monitor lost its settings. My refresh rate was set to 70 hrz. My monitor type is a sony trinitron CPD-2003GT. Now my monitor has its controls on the face of the monitor to allow me to set color, width, geometry, ..etc.. But when I activate it, it pops up in french and Japanese text and only shows a Key, meaning its locked. I have no idea how to unlock it. I am stumped and I am hoping I haven't damaged my monitor.

Please help.

Pull the plug on the monitor, wait a few seconds and plug it back in.

If that won't help, I'd say its time to dig the manual out of the closet.

You might try reinstalling your INF. file for the monitor, if you dont have the disk, you should be able to find them at Sony.

Hi guys, tried both, pulling power and reinstalling driver, I even removed it and let windows find the monitor again. No luck. The controls to the monitor are locked and the display is unusable for AH (http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/Smileys/default/frown.gif) I gotta call Micron, as I bought the machine from them a couple of years ago. Hoping the monitor is under warranty. Please keep ideas coming.
