Title: Rosie the Riveter- RIP
Post by: ozrocker on December 30, 2010, 06:14:01 PM
Rosie became an Industrial American Icon. At the age of 17, her image was known worldwide.
She said herself, that she didn't realize the poster was a likeness of her until 1982.
Geraldine Hoff Doyle died Sunday at the age of 86, leaving a multitude of family.

And to all the women in WW2, who worked for the defense of America. Like my mother who met my father, in 1943, working at Lockheed building P-38s.

My Grandma and her sisters.

Aunt Edna never married because the love of her life was killed in the ETO.

God bless the women (and men) that held it together at home.
