I would just like to publicly give a :salute to <call sign> Goaly for his amazing sportsmanship yesterday. I had been running around in my Lancasters for over an hour and 45 minutes and was on my way to RTB, but to do so with enough fuel, I had to fly a direct route over several enemy bases. Goaly upped a 262 to defend a base I was near but ended up escorting me home (until a 190 showed up and I peppered him to pieces :salute STX). At that point I had no tail gunners, low fuel, down a drone, and a severely damaged lead plane (thanks to Mr.Die and his now wounded Tempest. :) ).
Goaly gave me a new found hope in the sportsmanship that I remember this game having when I first started back after the game's release. After 2 hours and 14 minutes of flight time I was able to land safely and rack in around 24K (yeah yeah I know, I was just cruising) but it was nice to come home after a long flight. He made that 262 look like a turn fighter. Great work, thank you and good hunting (rooks :P).

Thanks for the kind words Marine. I recognized that sometimes the struggle to complete a long mission and bring a beat up plane home can be just as much fun as a good fight. On an ironic note, I ended up getting into a fatal compression while playing with the 262 on the way back to my base and did a beautiful lawndart with it. <S> Bud!

Yeah. I take pride in landing a bruised up plane. Makes me smile Like this ~~> ^_________________________________^ with some bouncing like ~~> :x while everyone gives a :O lol.
That sucks about the 262, did you kill the ants? I heard they are part of Al Queda! :eek:

Goaly is one stand up player I remember flying with him back in Aw Days and him always Saying Ni! Was Molsman back then though

He was a great squaddie a long time ago in the BOPS. Goaly was the absolute BEST goon driver in the game! That man would land a goon on the side of a mountain and wait 45 minutes way way deep in enemy territory and launch and take the base. He would never be on a flight path that anybody would expect him to be on. This guy grills outside in knee deep snow with shorts on (I've seen the pics of him doing it). Folks like him are what old time vets used to be but have run out of the patience to practice the honor that the game once experienced. Keep up the great old ways bud! :salute
