Live for Speed is the toughest racing sim out there. I played rFactor with ArtLaw when it was Beta and that was tops at the time (2005ish). Live for Speed is the most immersible, in terms of physics and game play.
-
there seems to be no trial period, i hate paying for something i havent seen or played
-
I followed your link to the web site and ended up spending an hour watching the videos and reading the info. Very impressive game.. I am about ready to try it myself... :salute
-
Hey Cobra, do you know of any dirt track (Late Models, Modifieds, and Stock) games out there?
-
Thanks for the link :rock

What ever happened to ArtLaw?

I've got to be honnest. iRacing has turned into my new vice, the sim is easily the most polished product I've ever used.
Here's some pics of me testing the new FW31 at Spa.

Omg those graphics are beast.

OK i just checked them out and the first splash screen was 2 months free. also they have sprin tcars coming but no dirt tracks. Hey who knows they might get that but for right now I guess I will hold off for now.
-
I don't suppose they'd have any off-road racing such as rally, trucks, etc?
-
iRacing has only oval and road circuits thus far.

Who ever wants to add me as friend/PM me. I mostly race tin tops, had a fun time in the Mustang last season, this season I'm back to the basic since I'm learning H&T ... in the Mx5. Next build will have a reworked tire model, I'm looking foward to what they'll come up with. The oval stuff bores me to death (didn't say it was easy, nor skilless), I just don't enjoy much the constant accelerate/brake/turn/repeat x 300. However the Street Stock is my favorite by far, sadly it's a rooky car ... which can ravage your Safety Rating when u have a higher level licence.

In iracing you have this licence system. You start as a rooky and upgrade depending on your "Safety rating". You get incident points as u hit other cars, run off the track, spin.... or get hit by an another car.
The higher licence u have, the faster cars u can drive, the longer are the races up to an hour-ish. The rooky stuff is pretty ruff because u have a lot of bone headed moves, but a high licence requirement race is very much enjoyable because to keep ur high licence u have to vitually do no mistake, so there's a lot of respect.
I used to be an LFS advocate, but I have to say that iRacing blew past LFS with the last couple of builds.

Shucks, I had assumed so. Road circuits are fun and all, but Rally is where my heart is at. Thanks for the info
-
BTW naTorino, u have a Tomato?

I race here http://stockcarevolution.com/ using rFactor and the mod stockcar evolution.

That link from Newegg says they're out of stock. Bummer. Any other links?
Even Logitech site says the wheels are out of stock :furious

Its a funnnnnnn game. Very impressive.
I raced Nascar2003 for the whole time it was available...won many races. I enjoyed it alot. After they went out tho I strayed away from it. I was in the BETA for iRacing and raced all the cars they had at the time then got away from it. I have it now and been paying for it but as of yet I only have the first level license. Just haven't played as much as I would have liked to.
If you like racing games...its very very good.

Uptown look into Fanatech wheel, especially the gt with the a w s o m e clubsport pedals.
That's how I race on the cheap. Now I have a g27 setup.

iRacing is easier to play on a keyboard than lfs.

WTG on your win at my home track. I've been going there for years and now help fill in for my dad in the tower calling the shots for the Cleanup, EMS & Fire Crews, & Wreckers.
Been wanting to get into iracing for a while but need a new comp and equipment first.

i took the risk...... good game with a few sqweekers but thats easy to get over.
you gotta buy it for the 1st month (12 bucks) the next two are free!
wanna drive something besides 34 coupes gonna cost you another 12 for each!
i like the game graphics and FPS are great (even on my system that was lower then the recommened)
intagrated vox is cool (just gotta tune it to the game {diff from AH))
all in all if you wanna race with real people and have a solid race game its worth it!
Karaya give it a try!
