I installed v1.0 and when i go to run it, it changes resolution, goes white, and gives me the error
Initialization failed with -4
Joystick failed -4
I am on a PIII 450mhz, ELSA Winner 2 32mb OpenGL Gfx Card, 128mb RAM. Thanks for your time.

I get that error when I do not have a joystick connected to my computer (AH requires you to have a joystick to play the game). Make sure you have a joystick connected and that it is calibrated in Windows before starting the game. Hope that helps.

Another thing, the joystick that you want to use MUST be connected as joystick #1 under game controllers in the control panel.

Yep, either the joystick is not connected or it's not properly configured under Windows.

Well isn't that just dandy. There better be mouse/keyboard support soon.

I have a hard enough time keeping from augering with a joystick, it would realy be heaven on a stick without one.

Hi guys....
Well, to be honest, I would also like to be able to run AH without a joystick. The point for me is not to actually go on-line and try to fly competitively with a keyboard and mouse, but rather to be able to use the needed program to view films, check who's on-line for a quick chat etc.
I have a 500 Mhz notebook sitting at work with no joystick of course, and can't even load the program to check out 'films'.
I think the design criteria should be re-examined my HTC down the road. It isn't a major deal, but certainly would be appreciated by a now paying member.
Perhaps another idea or approach would be to be able to run the 'films' program as a stand-alone piece of code which would also work great for me.

Badger
