It's not. It's a G. Chin turret.
Is it an actual representation of a WW2 paint scheme or just a fanciful restored warbird paint job?

I was looking at that site last night. Only problem is that to find the nose art pictures of WWII you have to pay to be a member. So Tyrannis how bad do you want it? Pay the membership get the pics & maybe some one will do it. EDIT: WoooHooo Platinum with this post. Edit again: Sorry had the wrong site.

the pics i posted is not the ORIGINAL liberty belle, its another b17 that was restored than had the liberty belle skin applied to it. there was actually 2 liberty belles in world war 2.both have some tragic history. the first was lost to an onboard fire. the other one allmost got blown up by its own bomb when one of the 1000lb bombs it was dropping got hit by flak, and exploded mid-air (explosion took out 9 other b17s).
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Liberty_Belle_(B-17)
"On 9 September 1944, as the real Liberty Belle dropped a 1,000-lb bomb, the bomb was hit by flak. This caused an explosion that damaged the Liberty Belle and destroyed or damaged nine of the twelve B-17s. Six of these fell on the target. One flew on only a single engine all the way back to Paris. The Liberty Belle was the last one to make it back to the airbase.[citation needed] The Liberty Belle (42-30096) was lost due to accidental on-board fire on November 30, 1943 and crashed near Wakes Colne.[1] The subsequent Liberty Belle II (44-41234) was used by the 33rd Bomb Squadron of the 22nd Bomb Group.[2]"
