Now right now I'm very tired, and this thought popped into my mind after reading the "Odd Wish" thread.
Normal perk point system is ENY/ENY but perhaps we could create a minute way to receive perks for a kill of bombers, fighters and vehicles?
Example: P51B with an ENY of 20 attacks a group of bombers Ju-88's (ENY 35). One bomber is destroyed in a pass, not only does the P-51 get the .57 perks, he also gets a partial perk for the category of craft he has destroyed. Let's say 1/5 (or 1/6 or 1/7 if 1/5 is too much) of that amount is also tacked on to the perk for the fighter. Therefore, the fighter would get .57 perks for destroying the bomber and an additional .11 perks (1/5) is added to the bomber category. The same could go for a bomber destroying a tank or a GV destroying a fighter. The perks wouldn't add up very quickly, but they would add up; slowly but surely.
There are two advantages to this that I see.
1. If and when a GV battle erupts, someone who has the good fortune to drop bombs on a load of GV's may have enough perks to use a good one. Although they could be content with dropping bombs, it may alleviate the whines of "breaking up perfectly good GV battles with bombs." People MIGHT be more inclined to try a GV.
2. It would give people a reason to up more low ENY aircraft seeing as they have 6/5 (7/6 or 8/7) more reward.
To put the other two "bonus amounts" into perspective. Given the same situation, the 1/6 would give the fighter .095 perks in a bomber. This is little more than 10 sorties of this same situation to receive a full perk point. (or little more than three, depending on whether all of the bombers are destroyed).
Edit: Forgot to add the 1/7. The 1/7 option would give a fighter .081 perks for a (single) bomber kill.

This is probably the first perk wish that I am completely behind.

I'm surprised there haven't been more views or responses.

If i destroy a cv do i get ptboat perk points?

I could see how the +GV perks would somewhat encourage the bombing of GV's. Now, I wouldn't be too upset about that, but others probably would...

Considering the CV itself isn't another player, you probably wouldn't get any additional points.

I think you're trying to be funny and if you aren't, then I'm sorry for falsly accusing you.
Manned craft only. Anything listed in the hangar as something you can fly/drive would be under this perk action.

I see the merit of the idea. But then that would allow people who hate bombing, or hate fighting, to sit in a whirble and shoot everything down in the skies. then up 262s and 234s...

Okay, what is the ENY value of a Wirb? I believe it is 20. Say that a huge squadron of P51-Ds flies over and all 5 of them are downed. If the 1/5 rule is put into place (and I'm right with the ponyD being 5 ENY). Then the person should only get 4 perks for fighters. can you imagine how long it would take to get that good in a wirb and have a sortie where you keep shooting down 5-8 ENY planes? Maybe once every month you would get a free flight in a 262, but would you know how to fly it well? Would you lose all your perks in it? Would someone figure out that maybe being in a wirb isn't the best? Strive to learn more ACMs and up lower ENY planes? It is a long-shot, but I believe it can be done. And then even if it could be a problem...
1/6 and 1/7 or 1/8 or even 1/10!
That reduces, correspondingly: 3.33 perks, 2.86 perks, 2.5 perks, 2 perks. So if a lone P51B kills a lone JU-88, a person would only get .057 perks (at 1/10).

You looked into this right smart and I see your point. This could have its uses in more than one way.

Perks??
Is that all of those numbers at the bottom of my screen in the hanger?
Dang and here I thought it was my montly AH and internet bills building up.
Most players just loose their perks like betting at Vegas with nothing to show for it. There are players in the game with perk banks in the 20 to 40 thousands who never fly perk rides. They are usualy the ones who you think are cheating in those 109E's and spit1's. Or killing whirbels in an M3.
Perks are not supposed to be complicated fractions of partial endevors. You want the full monti? Go win a full on fight. No one ever won a medal for partialy damaging an outhouse.

Bustr, I see where you are coming from. But the fact of the matter is that perks are indeed a thing of numbers. ENY and OBJ. It is only a suggestion. If HTC decides to implement this for a few days to see how it works, great; if HTC does not implement this for a few days, oh well.
You make it sound so serious and although numbers may seem serious to some, it is just a game. Lighten up a bit.

What's a perk?
Seriously, they have everything perked now so I give this a +1.

I have all the perks I could ever want to have and this wouldn't really affect me that much. For newer players who still need help getting their feet wet, this could be a way to get them to fly more and have more fun in the game. Bomber pilot? 100 bomber sorties later and voila, you have 20 perks or so. Just enough for an F4U-4 with reduced perk value (say you're a Knight and the Bish are steamrolling once more).

I mean you can kind of look at it this way. I would assume someone with a lot of perks has an idea of two of how to fly that type of plane and the perks are their reward. Right? Well if you think about it, by shooting down a set of bombers or getting shot down by the set, it makes you a better bomber pilot and fighter pilot. It gives you an idea of where it would be best to attack from and as a bomber pilot it would give you an idea of where to focus more attention. So you learn for both, why not get a minor reward :P
