Post by: dirtdart on January 07, 2011, 08:14:41 AM
I want the disco taken off my attack score after this AMs unwarned arena reset.  Plus my 1.21 Giga perkies I blew on my Bearcat..... :neener:

If the arena resets, you do not get scored anything for the sortie in progress.  No disco, no perks lost.

I noticed that the other night when I was a little late landing for the switch to Off Hours. What I couldn't tell was whether that also goes for kills, damage points, etc. - if you're still in the air when the arena resets, are any kills you scored for that sortie lost?

If so, this may create an accounting nightmare for Lusche because the number of deaths will no long match the number of kills.  Oh horrors.

If you are in the middle of a sortie when the arena resets, that sortie never existed.

Yep, it is as though that sortie never happened. Nothing lost, nothing gained.

No, no horror at all. Due to several reasons, there is always a small mismatch between kills & deaths, but in the overall scheme of things it doesn't matter ;)

The kills are lost for player score, but not for plane stats. Plane stats are updated in real time, if you kill something the kill is being written to the database immediately. You can check this during a sortie, see how the web Pilot Stats change after you made a kill.
The score however is only update when the sortie is over, either by "exit flight" or a death or a non-server disco. If the server resets, this sortie never has happened at all - but AFAIK the plane stats are not being altered.

Unlikely. It's still quite a bit of work. Midweek my guess. It's a bit more data this year :)

It doesn't work that way.

How much are 'feminine rentals' over there? Lusche, I'm willing to take up a collection for you as you definitely need to get out more.

Yup, just put it on autopilot in a safe direction, stir for 4 minutes until done
