Older TXDOT commercial that I had forgotten all about tonight until a conversation with my father jogged my memory. How many of you remember this one? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XlFD0Zyl_f0

Not from Texas, but i wish that really did happen! You know how much it is to take a ride?

it's a bit stiff, tbh. totally worth it, tho
going to visit my parents the weekend of feb. 11th when the "Wings of Freedom" tour comes to Kissimmee, Florida. for a 1-hr. flight in "nine-oh-nine", it costs roughly $450.

I took a ride in 909, it was awesome, I got to sit in the bombardier's chair for takeoff and landing.

Last time the Collins foundation B17 came to town I told the pilot I'd buy him an hour in a 152 in exchange for a 30 minute ride in the B17. He seemed to really take it to heart, but declined my generous offer.

thats pretty cool. original engine and everything on the 152?
the group down in Kissimmee i found out are currently working on a 190F-8 that was found in a Norweigian field back in the 90's. been working on it for four years, just about halfway there. everything on the plane is original, factory-made in Germany. when it's complete, it will be one of only two 190s in the world that can fly. i'll see if i can find that link.....
