Most excellent diggit. Glad to see that the sides stayed even and everyone had fun. I liked Crazy8's friends. Noticed that Cap has even figured out the AvA bomb sight. Good times.

only sort of figured it out. i missed the radar tower on a vbase 2x.
and ya.....it stayed pretty even all night, and the flying was incredible.

Flew last night and had a great time. Really enjoyed the set-up. I thought the match-ups were great. BAR thanks for the pointers in the P-38. To the allies---good teamwork and assisting on clearing 6's. Again a great time. :aok

its probably me. havent quite figured out how to tune and transmit properly. I wish AH had a downloadable manual. Searching for this stuff in online help doesnt work very well for me.

to tune to a specific channel, bring up your text buffer as if you were gonna type something. just above where you see your text appear as you type, you see those boxes? all the way to the right, there's one labeled "vox". if you tune....say 138.....in there, then hit enter, you will then use the "T" key to speak on that channel. only those tuned to that channel will hear you though.
i think it is the F12 key to speak to those in range. i've got that one mapped on my throttle as a PTT button.

I tried that the other night and it didnt seem to work. Are there published freq for the two sides in AvA?

Tune to your own name online, in the vox channel. Try hitting "T" to talk. You should be able to hear yourself.

To test your vox, enter into the radio buffer ".radio 5 Normh3" (assuming Normh3 is your in-game id). Then if you press the key you have mapped to speak on a channel, you should be able hear yourself if everything is working properly.
There are no "set" frequencies for one side or another, and it seems that a lot of folks are simply using the range vox which works quite well as the fights are generally close to base.

on the map we have now, we could probably fight base to base with a few 5" guns. :devil

Actually it should be WTFG AvA Pilots. It's the guys who fly in the arena everyday because they just want to that make the place a success. Guys like you Dicho Crazy8s Sunny1 Texican Grumpy and others who have been honorable participants and good ambassadors to the arena have as much to do with it's success as anybody else.

TY Shifty you guys give us a great sandbox to play in :D
-
we've got the best arena in the game here......how could we NOT want to be here. :aok
-
I've been wanting to hop back into the AvA for awhile now, but nobody is ever on when I get on.
Just tell me when :t
-
40?! Of course I missed it... Probably for the best. With 40 online my sortie time was sure to be in the single digits :D

best times seem to start around 9'ish eastern time.
here's one of the keys though. if you log in, and no one's there........fly around a bit.....make things go boom. generally you won't have to wait more than 15-20 minutes till someone pops in to fight ya. then more...them more......then next thing ya know, ya got fun fights for a couple of hours.
-
I call it 'baiting' the arena :devil.

Thanks for the compliment Shifty and to the rest of us trying to make this arena Rocking I thought we broke a record last night when we actually had more players then Midwar at one point. Even when the sides were off some of the guys switched with no problems to keep the fights going. Texican1 man I could not shake you last night you had my number as usual <Salute>Sir.
I may be in tonight for a but I have a funny feeling I may be getting called into work early to staff extra medic units with impending snow storm.
