What is the trend of memory RAM prices in the near future. Reason I ask is I heard some manufacturing plants were shutting down which would increase prices.
Anyone hear the same. I hope I was misinformed.
Thanks :)

Memory is at an all time low. If your thinking of upgradeing in the near future you may want to buy the mem now. If you right and the Chip plants start slowing production then the price will go up. I have 256 megs of mem and i;m thinking of grabing another 128 megs soon

I bought a 256 pc133 for $37, increasing my ram to 512mb, and my system is running beautiful.

Memory companies will be transistioning over to DDR Sdram. This will likely mean that SDRAM (the type in use by most systems now) will be rising in price in the long term. In the short term I'd expect prices to remain fairly level for about a month or two, and then begin to go up. There is a large surplus of SDRAM chips right now, and until they are gone prices will remain low.

Will mixing PC 100 and PC 133 ram cause any problems? I am using a 256 meg DIMM (pc133) and have two empty slots...I have 128 Meg of pc100 ram sitting on the shelf. I can't set my fsb beyond 100 so the pc133 is running at 100. Can I install the pc100 and increase my ram to 384 meg? The pc133 is CL2. The pc100 is CL3.
