we have an NT network in my office here, running NT4.0 on the workstations. some have SP 5.0 some have SP 4.0. and further more some have AGP slots and some have PCI slots. The question i am asking: what would be the best 3D card for both the AGP slot, and for the PCI slot. is anyone running NT4.0 and playing AH? we have a few avid flyers who would love to get AH on our network here!!!!
makes for great team play in an arena!
thanks for any and all advice/help.

I don't think you will be able to run AH on NT4 box, since it only has Direct3D from DirectX3.

I tried here at my office, with NT 4.0 sp5, it don't work. PIII-550's, AH doesn't like NT.

The best 3d card to run with NT 4.0 right now is the Voodoo3 series.
That said, you will not be able to run AH with NT 4.0 with any 3d card. Direct3d was never really implimented in anything but a bastard software version for NT 4.0. DirectX 7.x was never transported to NT 4.0 either.
Your best bet for running AH is to get Win2000. It is one of the least painful OS installs I have ever done. Installed the CD (into my NT 4.0 system) and clicked OK... came back an hour later (was watching TV) and the new OS was completely installed.
Right now, AH has some interface bugs with Win2k. However, Win2k does have DirectX 7 and hardware accelerated Direct3d support (depending on drivers of course... but at least its possible).
