Title: 3d prophet vid card

I recently bought a Hercules 3d prophet
400xt vid card 32 meg. After i installed it i tried to run the game <AH>. I get alot of wierd blips and my mouse locks up. Then the screen freezes. Any help???

I was going to wait for a GF2 but my old vid card died.

Sounds like some IRQ conflicts to me.  Please go to: start -> programs -> accesories -> system tools -> system information -> expand "hardware resources", click the folder that says "IRQ".  Copy and paste the list here for us to see.

Did you uninstall the drivers for your previous card? Is AH the only game you have problems in? Whats your system specs? (cpu+mobo+os)?

I have basically the same card myself (chip+drivers), and have not seen your problem...

Have read where there are probs with that card, It's not an Nvidia chip, Cant remember specifics but it was in MaximumPC
