Thanks Tuk...we had fun playing decoy for you guys to help your group get through unscathed. Then the way that those 109s started falling like meteors when we engaged near you guys was a funny sight to see.

You guys ever notices the big grin on the pilots face.
Black flies with my squad in FSO. He really knows how to catch that perfect shot. Just look at these that i posted from him.

Black's IL2 screenshot reminds me of when we had FOV control in the film viewer. I used to get screenshots like this, as well. It really really helped with composition.
So, either he's got ludicrously large resolution and is just cropping down to this size to make the FOV look tighter, or he's figured out the secret the rest of us can't get to work in the film viewer!
-
Krusty, use the z key on your keyboard after setting up the shot. It zooms in on the foreground and also makes the background much closer somehow. It doesn't always work though and I can't figure out why.
-
It gets rid of the "fisheye" aspect of the screenshot and gives a better view. Also use the Function keys to get various angles and the brackets to move in and out.
-
Yes, I understand that... But you used to have more control over the depth of field with the FOV slider in the film viewer. Now it's locked to a very small range. You try dragging the slider and it'll just stop working until you close out the viewer and start it up again. Been this way for a long time.
