Post by: oneway on January 18, 2011, 12:26:40 AM
Oldtimers...

Moving things from storage and thought you guys might be into seeing these..

This stuff is all circa late 60's, early 70's

Still in the original cellophane F6 3/5 Model...never opened..wont open it to look inside...don't ask

Wright Cyclone Radial 9...and  P-38 (variant flexible)

Some of you old time model makers might like to see this...

I am no fan of jet airplanes by any stretch of the imagination...except for the Fairchild A-10

But check this out...all original in the box...F-86F Sabre model

Hasegawa scale 1/32 circa early 70's...

Because our eyes and ambition exceed our time available for builds, most model makers are also accidental model collectors....

Hence the 6-foot tall stack of 1/48 scale WWII fighter kits, still in original plastic, sitting in my office......    :noid

I've got a bunch of old models I bought on e-bay very cheap and I'm slowly working through the builds. I got real busy over the christmas break and built all in 1/72 M4A1(76)w, Hurri 2c and a mark X torbeau. I also started a 1/48 P38m and an La-7 but I'm going to take my time with them. I was concerned that they were probably worth something and should keep them in their box but I just had to start building.
