Flying the P-47 in the Aces High main arena is certainly a challenge, however this plane is truly shines in historical scenarios against it's historical adversaries. The 63rd Fighter Squadron of the 56th Fighter Group flies weekly in the Tour of Duty (http://events.hitechcreations.com/tod/) scenarios, which currently run Friday nights at 10pm US Central time. For more information, consult our website (http://www.jump.net/~cs3).

On that occasion I had seen German fighters, flying through our large formation of B-17 bombers, shooting furiously as they passed. As I watched, all I could think was that those bastards were hurting Americans. It made me mad, and in my anger, I forgot to be afraid. Even after I had shot two of them down and possibly destroyed another while running out of ammunition, I was still mad. After that episode, I was in business every time I went up.--Walker Mahurin

56th FG! Good luck on your search for pilots who enjoy a historical squadron setting. Your squad name along with it's Aces High pilots are top notch!! <S>
-
if i wasnt already in the best squad in aces high i might want to join one of the next best :)
56 is definite top notch and id definitely recommend to wanna be jug drivers :)
-
I appreciate those ekind words zig and swager!
-
I would also like to add my 2/5 of a Nickel about the 56th. They are excellent pilots (I have only been killed by a Jug twice since they have gone Knight :)). More importantly, they are all a bunch of good guys that help when they can and are always fun to fly around with. If I was a Jug fan, I wouldn't hesitate to take them up on this offer! :)

I've always said that if the P-51D wasn't here, I would fly that big ugly P-47 :D
When are you 56th types coming back to Rookville anyway?
Good luck searching for recruits... <SALUTE>

JoeDirt, many of our guys are in the US Central Time or Eastern Time zones and fly evenings in the MA or CT. Right now our weekly squad meeting coincides with the TOD scenarios Friday at 10pm Central. We also fly other prearranged squad meetings from time to time.

Geez ... what's wrong with you guys?
The 56th is recruiting!
I really don't understand why it's so hard to find personel to clean toilets, wax planes, serve breackfast, clean shoes, answer the phone.
I'm sure that if we were looking for pilots, 1000s of people would had send applications! :mad:

Hehe Frenchy. It's hard finding good help these days. ;)

let me know if interested.
