Okay, recently being in the TA, I realized that there may be a "grey area" between what you tell someone and what they actually do with the info provided. What I suggest is this: A dot command which when typed, will do the following...
1. level out the player's aircraft
2. allow the player to see the gauges and the stick as the aircraft/trainer does a maneuover
3. allow the player to get a feel and a view of what the move should do/look like.
And after the player is done learning, simply .UnjoinTA ***ID***
As soon as the pilot puts the dot command in, they are then returned to their craft where they can immediately come out of auto pilot and practice the maneuover.
This is just a simple idea but from what I've seen in the TA, it may help pilots more than vocal directions or give them that little extra 1st person experience.

or just put the O47 in

So if I gave you step by step verbal commands on how to do something, you'd be able to do it exactly the same in a matter of seconds. WOW! Get real.

wildcat seems like a good idea but looking at the instrument panel wont help new guys figure out what the heck you are doing. I've been playing for 4 years and I still dont know what the dials do in my plane. other than the speed and fuel gauges rest are useless for new guys.

About that speed thing... I've told guys doing a hammerhead to go a certain speed and they always wait until they are stalled, don't know what to do and begin a flat spin.

That's a pretty good idea +1

ok u did not get what i was saying. i like your idea but wouldnt it be cool to have a tranning plane in the TA that sits 2 like if ur joining u can still see all the gauges but u can take control anytime you want face it its the TA "traning arena" and we need a tranning aircraft just a thought
PS: dont get all sassy
-
I honestly could not piece together what you just said.
-
In the TA there use it be a DOT command to pull up a target in mid air to fire at. I can't remember it. Anyone recall the DOT command?
Thanks

.target xxx
xxx is the number of yards the target will be at
Target is due north
Hope that helps

the O47 was a tranning aircraft in WW2 im not saying i dont like ur idea but cant we get a real traaning aircraft because when i was new a tranning aircraft that is easy to fly would help alot plus you could have some one in the back who could take over the plane anytime he wants so he can help the new guy

I'm just going to go ahead and say that TRAINING aircraft are a no-go.

and why is that mr know it all
-
Because there is no need to coad all those planes. Just learn the plane itself.

Wildcat,
You have a good idea but what you can do is have the fellow pilot .join you in the aircraft then show hi/her exactly what you are doing then have him/her (being politically correct) and as you are flying explain to them what you are doing and why. Then have them take off in the same plane as what you just showed them in. just my .02, but good idea. :aok :aok

I know this but is it really efficient? Some trainers are only on for so long and every time someone has to up their own plane, try the move, get more advice or correct something, that is taking up more and more time.

wildcat is not that i dont support your idea, it's pretty cool. however seeing the controls move in the cockpit and trying to figure out how to move them is two different things. you would need to set up a training session just so you can teach a new guy what moving the controls actually means. then comes the situation where they have different hardware. you may have pedals, they use keyboard only. that's where it's gonna be hard to train somebody because for example if you are me, i dont know how to use the keyboard to fly. other than pressing b and space bar.
like i said it is a good idea, but may be hard to implement and it does take away time from coading my a26. :salute
