Some of you know me from Warbirds as Squadron leader of the No. 315 Squadron (Polish) RAF. I have been offered the chance to command a USAAF unit forming with the P38.
The 82nd Fighter Group has a very rich history that has caught my interest.
I will be forming 3 Squadrons as part of the Group. The 95th FS "Bone Heads", The 96th FS "Slugging Jackrabbits" and the 97th FS "Devil Cats". All based on historically correct information and data.
I have been very busy working on the web page for the group and still have a ways to go but you can find out about us on this site. I will be working on changing the site to reflect the Aces High simulation.

If you enjoy flying the P38, flying together as a group, using teamwork and tactics we may be for you.
Feel free to drop me a line if you have any questions.

Congrats on the new FG Ov!! I wish you the best of luck.
Make sure you pick up a copy of Osprey's "P-38 Aces of the MTO and ETO". It has some great photos and information on the 82nd FG. It also has color plates of 82nd planes that you could use for noseart on your site.

Thanks dune... yes I bought it and also bought "The P38 in Action" by Squadron Signal.
I have so many pictures now to work on its a very bz job, I want to keep the pages simple to keep the load time down.
I'm not sure if the 82nd ever operated with the L model... maybe so but have not found a profile of one yet. If anybody has one let me know.
Thanks again dune nice talking with ya again!

I said this in the main too, but it bears repeating. I served with Ovmech in the 1st Polish Fighter Wing and he is an excellent fighter leader and a great guy. If you are interested in a truly historical USAAF fighter unit, the 82nd is a great choice!

Best of luck buddy! Its great to see another P-38 squadron forming up! (http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/Smileys/default/biggrin.gif)

a very long Bump.
-
Why is it necessary to bump a nearly 9 year old recruitment thread for a squadron that doesn't exist in Aces High any more? If you will look at the roster the only 82nd FG is Cavalier's.
-
wrong one barko
-
For a second, there, I was almost confused about this thread when I just realized that Cavalier started up the 82nd FG.

i know, I know, I was Just doing it for some Laughs thats all.

Are you saying that the Aces High II Community would be better off without me? and that my Ban would make People Happier and sleep well at night, knowing that Bark0 isn't on the AHII BBS?
Theirs no need to Butcher me for this, i just like going in and reading Really old posts. You could find some pretty Interesting things to Read about and share with other people. i seems like all the posts we have today are about HOers and Spitfire Issues. I did this because I thought it was interesting, because of all we have to read today. to other people, it may not. But a simple fix, is to not read threads you know sound stupid or Discouraging. If you visit this section often, you would know that someone wouldn't be stupid enough to make a squad that's already in game. Since the 82nd is already formed, their is no need to make another one.
It seems like whenever I do something right, I get unnoticed and whenever I do something wrong, People Exploit me for it in the Harshest way.

I caught the joke Bark0, don't worry bro!

1) If you ever read ANY of these boards you would know there are rules here.
2) Yes there was an 82nd FG.....NINE YEARS AGO
3) I don't like people who self proclaim themselves as "masters" of something when they haven't been here that long.
4) I don't like attention-whoring "look at me" posts or "posters" - the following quote will clear this up

Honest or nice...Honest or nice....tough decision here.

What have you done "right" that's so admirable that we should just bow down and honor your "rightness"?
-
Did I proclaim myself as "Master"? No, Scotch made a Joke which turned into a nickname for me whenever I posted.
4) I don't like attention-whoring "look at me" posts or "posters" - the following quote will clear this up
Those People are known as "Post Counters" Making only random Non-stop posts just to raise their popularity here on the forums. Am I one of them? No. so why Accuse me of it? If I have something to say in a Thread I say it, Obeying by the Rules Of coarse. Unlike the people who Just Post Smiles and such.
What have you done "right" that's so admirable that we should just bow down and honor your "rightness"?
to me this is known as "Adding" Whenever people say something they agree with they go +1 +10 and such. it looks to me like not a whole lot of people agree with me.
Id'e say some more things, but I am Obeying the rules now, and I need to get to school.
