well i was just walkin' along in the hallway last night, about 8:30 PM and i feel kinda light-headed. next thing i know i black out and im falling down the stairs! i woke up the next day in the hospital with a broken arm and 3 broken fingers along with a sprained wrist. the doctors couldnt say what happened or why it did. can someone who's a doctor on here possibly explain what happened? if you can it would be greatly appreciated!
-
Can't say what happened to you but the same happened to me once, a long time ago. I blacked out, hit my head on a desk and ended up with a concussion and one whale of a headache. It never happened again and no one ever figured out why it happened.
Not the answer you were looking for - just my 2 cents.

Oh dear lord. Kid, stop worrying about attention from grown men on the internet. Go out and play with tonka trucks in the mud. Do something with yourself. You are only 13 and have wayyy too much time on your hands.

Trollllololololol ^
It could be a number of things. If you had just stood up (especially after sitting for long periods of time), it could have been a rush of blood, once it got to your brain it could have caused the dizziness and the black out. (and no I'm not talking about a stroke.)
Or, as previously stated, could be dehydration.
Go throw another line somewhere else.

Not a troll at all. The boy needs to find things to do to occupy his time. He has a very "bright" imagination. To say the least. Little fella needs a good hobby.

that used to happen to me alot when i was I'm thinking between 12 and 15, i would get light headed and just black out, then it just stopped, never had it again in the last 35 years ( well a few times i did but that was booze related lol )
my parents ran alot of tests on me thinking it might have been the start of epilepsy or what not, but the Doc's never did find anything, i recomend to keep a diary of the occurances and keep your parents informed, then they can go from there

You are probably diabetic and you're in for a lifetime of needles, glucose level salamanders and tests, controlled diet, and an early death. I know this because I watched a lot of doctor shows on TV back when I was in school, so that's sort of like going through med school except that I got cheated out of the diploma.
-
Similar things happen to me quite often. My back isn't straight, it formed curving forward and sideways. Because of this I can't stand straight for long periods of time and it's more comfortable to slouch most of the time.
However, if I remain slouching for a long time it compresses my spine and cuts off my energy, so I have to have a nice intense stretch after a while or I just can't function. When I stretch it feels like my nervous system is resetting; I start to feel weird from my spine and outward, and occasionally it'll be so intense that I lose motor control but still remain (at least somewhat) aware of what's happening. I fall like a pile of badly stacked bricks, and I usually have a good laugh afterwards. :)

always a table corner or a flight of stairs to fall down when people black out. has anybody ever blacked out and fell on a pillow or into a pit foam?

If this is a serious request, drinking water is good. My wife would get light headed, and very weak. Turns out she was low on iron.
I would suggest going to the grocery store and getting an inexpensive multivitamin or iron supplement. It will cost less then $10. If it works you will note it pretty quickly. If it doesn't it won't harm you in the least. I would also take note of your diet. If you are diabetic you likely had a change of diet that day. If your family has a history; if you are overweight, etc.
There are some safe, common sense ways to address. Again, not a doctor just healthy living.

I blacked out and fell into some cat food trays and rubbish bags once in a kitchen, it was quite comfy.

At least it was the cat food trays, and not the cat's litter box.
