to further realism and to account for aircraft that use more than 1 tank at a time please add a keyboard option to select more than 1 tank to drain from...
like on the p38 with its two engines each engine has its separate fuel supply and crossfeed to use the other engines fuel
could you figure out how to manually use 2 tanks at once since thats what the real thing did?
perhaps two fuel guages?
toggle fuel for right engine (all normal fuel options pluss option to use opposite engines fuel tanks to simulate crossfeed)
-
What would be the advantage over what we have already?
-
more realisticisism?
-
I'd settle to have a FUEL TRANSFER dot command or something. It would be nice to have a way to pump all that gas from the punctured tank to other tanks :)
-
I would prefer not being able to run full thottle all the time, or to be able to blow up a surpercharger.
The cross feed stuff is already there, it's automatic. When would you use it Cit? (I have pb to understand ur motive, no ofense :)).
-
i loose 1-2 engines every sortie in the p38
-
But you automatically crossfeed :p

my point is I like manually selecting the fuel tanks.
when i use manual fuel selection I am unable to select more than one tank from which to use fuel on a multi engine aircraft.
multiengine aircraft have 2 engines and under normal operations each engine has its own fuel supply.
thus the realism of manually selecting your fuel tanks is not realistic in aircraft that:
a. are multiengine aircraft
b. have wingtanks etc that are capable of being used simultaneously on single engine aircraft
