Title: Beer Bottle COLOR ORGAN
Post by: G0ALY on January 28, 2011, 07:30:31 PM: Hello, I just finished another winter project. I wanted a beer light to put in my man cave… So I made my own. It consist of two music light kits, a half dozen empty beer bottles, a piece of scrap wood, some light sockets and extension cords. Back in the 70s these were called ’Color Organs”. Each light kit required me to solder about 75 electrical connections. Oddly, I really enjoyed doing it.

As a drummer, it was the drum line that mad me immediately think Clyde Stubblefield. EDIT: (even thought it was Herman Matthews in Tower of Power)

That would be neat, but I found that bottles with paper lables don't work real good. The light does'nt shine through and the lable just looks like a black square. Thanks though!

And Rev.. Yes, I do have too much time on my hands. :)
