it may have something to do with sitting in a fw190 replica that is being rebuilt after the guy they built it for tried to tail stand it while reving up the engine and folded up the landing gear and destroyed the prop, engine and bent the wing spars...
the thing is gorgeously accurate.
add to that using truekills excellent skin and its just about as good as it gets, kinda looks like the 190 being restored too!
-
It is an often underestimated plane...which I used to get quite a few entertaining kills.
-
If there was only a guide for basic flight in that thing.

I see a 262 behind that 190.

fun bird to fly, the snap rolls during low speed can help ya in a fight or get you killed, just as fun as the K4 IMO great gun packages to boot :aok

There is nothing better than reversing some La7 or Spit in a 190A8, you can almost see their cockpit turn brown when they find a 190 that will actually fight.
For that reason alone, I'll do some 190A8 runs from time to time.
-
Beautiful bird there. I prefer the A-5, but the gun packages on the A-8 are simply awesome.

wtf is "skinner team"

I took on a few 190A8 in my D-25. Most of them i flew them right into the ground. They can not pull out of a dive well. :t

He makes skins for ingame aircraft if you have not noticed, but the team is to rep everyone who makes skins, waffle, greebo, fencer etc...

A 190, burn it with fire!

A team with skinners.

Gentlemen-I propose to you the -D9. Spikes;you have great boobs,Sir. :aok

No, it's specific to those helping HTC create the "default" skins that come with new or remodeled aircraft. It doesn't include just random skinners (such as myself, or Kev367th, etc...)
-

It is trying to pulling out of the dive that got them.

190 A 8... Only way to fly... NUFF said :devil
However, on a side note: The 190 a 8 should NEVER be used for vulching. That would be wrong...

I've always found the A8 to be sluggish, but I really enjoy an A-5 sortie from time to time. :aok

It's currently significantly overweight, as well. In the MA you can furball it with some success, but what really makes it interesting is in scenarios or setups.
For example, it's a fairly decent plane vs even late-war Soviet fighters. However when you put it up against late war RAF planes its very overwhelmed.

I know the weight issue has been discussed a lot, but please refresh my memory. How overweight is it and why has this issue not been addressed? I would think that there is a fair amount of documentation on the 190A8 that would provide the correct weight information. I would really like to see this fixed if it is indeed overweight.

i found a great site for some FW 190A8 ton of specs for those interested http://www.wwiiaircraftperformance.org/fw190/fw190a8.html (http://www.wwiiaircraftperformance.org/fw190/fw190a8.html)
-
Tons of documentation. Current thinking is HTC took the specs from the heavily armored Wurger, but didn't actually model the benefits from the armor (it had among other things more pilot armor, ammo armor, oil ring armor -- in-game we get PWs and oil hits every time).
It's been covered many times, and I only hope HTC has put it on the back burner to fix "eventually" rather than just ignore all the data. You go back to 2000/2001 when the A8 was introduced in AH1 and they're even discussing this extra weight but no added benefit from the armor here on the forums. At least, they're debating it, because back then they did not have the E6B nor the weight readout on it to help test and diagnose certain things.
It's about 250 lbs too heavy. (empty weight)

I was gonna say that! :aok
-
IMHO the FW190A8 in game might be modeled after the FW190A8/R8......it even appears to have "blinkers" on the front glass of the canopy (3 panes, center, left of center and rt of center)

All the 190 varients are fun to fly.
And the rockets i the F8 can kill tanks

I thought the rockets where for taking out the bombers.

Here is a classic example of her pwntential. It's one of me favorite planes.

They can not pull out of a dive well.
 You can pull out of a 650 mph dive effortlessly if you know what you're doing.

WGr-21 rockets on the A-5 and A-8 are the anti aircraft rockets, the PB1 rockets for the F8 are AT, and I belive have the same warhead os a panzerschrek AT launcher

mash the K button till you either hit the ground or level out and then black out and start looping all over the place?
-
never taken an Anton over 550, but I know Langnassen Dora's wings will snap like twigs if you pull up even the slightest bit to fast at +550 mph

Anyone got a link to this story?...

In a terminal velocity dive it really won't get much faster than this... You can dive nose down from 30K and not rip things off....
It's the pull-out that's a problem! And then, really, only if you have a full AFT tank. That pushes the center of gravity backwards, and the pivot point of your plane as you pull out then "pushes" the wings into the air stream rather than twists them into the air stream. You can dive from 10K with a full tank, drop a bomb on something and pull out and have no wingtips. Has happened to me quite a few times.
Used to be with a lot of skill you could fly it home. They changed that somewhere along the lines so now it's so unstable you cannot fly planes missing both wingtips anymore (excepting maybe p-38s and 262s?). I don't think that's ever happened to me in a dora, though.
-

Sort of but you need to ease back the trim as you start leveling. I've dove an A8 so fast it was buffeting so bad I could hardly see and I never ripped a wing off pulling out.
-
You can't rip a doras wings off i've tried after coming back afk at 30k + even at top speed with full trim you just black out

I agree.
I've never done it... compressed and augered yes. Ripped the wings. no.
When your in a dive, just use the rudder to slow you down enough to keep from completely compressing
-
LOL! What did they do, shoehorn a new engine into that Fw190 warbird, or what? 4 blades?
EDIT: I know about the "new" 190s, but I thought they tried to replicate the engine, props, etc? Thought they did a very close replica.
-
its an ash82 lavochkin russian engine in the flugwerk 190s
as for the 4 blade prop?
dunno
but its disassembled atm.
the engine is demolished and they are looking for another one.

I just held down the K and yanked the stick full back, watching e6b I had attained max speed even with the lock up/shaking cockpit she still pulled out quite easily. The 51 obviously can't do the same! :devil :devil
