Title: How to post pics?

Stupid question, but how do I select photos for avatars and signature blocks. I picked some but there was a msg that stated it was too big and not an avatar. I also tried to cut/paste a photo directly onto the post but clearly we are not able to do that. What is the correct method for doing this?

Need to resize avatars.  Go here, select Custom and put in 80:  http://www.shrinkpictures.com/ (http://www.shrinkpictures.com/)
