How many people drive it?
I myself am a dedicated driver, anyone else?
I would love to see more drivers for the M4 75 in AH.
One reason is because it does have better armour than the M4 76.

Its not so much that the gun is ineffective beyond 30 yards or that the armor doesnt stop a hot butter knife....or is it?

It's a fun tank, but it certainly isn't strong. Took me somewhere near half my ammo to kill a Tiger, but it eventually gets the job done. In the AvA where it gets matched in somewhat realistic settings it's decent. I love using it in Sand Rivers and ambushing Panzers/Tigers that come around the buildings (have made them run in circles looking for me as I kept pinging them), but in an open area fight I would "[run] like a boy chased by sharky sharky." :)

I don't drive tanks much, but I've started doing it a little more since the M4/75mm was added. I enjoy the challenge of trying to work up in close to the bad guys or maneuvering around for a flank shot. Either that or I'm just a masochist. :)

The M4/75mm is a great tank to use against LVT's, M8's, M3's, and 251's at any range. Against other tanks you need to be close, as in closer than the 1000 yard mark to have a fighting chance. The armor of the M4A3 is better than most give it credit for, too. The M4/75mm is best used to hammer OBJ with its 75mm or in close with the calliope.

I use it to try and pork fields, especially when going up hill is involved. Shermans in general go faster up hill than anything, including M-8s.
The 75HE hits harder and fires faster than any other gv in the game versus buildings. The only advantage the T-35/75, my old porking ride, has is speed on the flat.

When you drive it alot and really gain some experience in it, killing things is easy.
And, yes the armour is very good when you know how to park it and angle hits.
1. Park behind a hill and only expose the turret front.
2. When a round is shot at range, you have enough time to turn the turret to an angle and cause a ricochet.
3. In a normal fight where your lower hull armour is exposed park at an angle with the corner of hull pointed at the enemy, this will cause most oncoming shots (Except that of higher caliber guns such as the Tigers 8.8cm/ Firefly's 17lbr) to ricochet off the tank.
#4 AND THE MOST IMPORTANT RULE:
Get to know it before you start trying to take on Tigers and Panthers, know your gun and armour.
As well as Armour penetration of the 75 M3 at ALL Range's.
You could say this, "Become part of the tank"!

The M4 75 is my primary GV ride in the MA, I love that tank. It has a fast turret, large ammo loadout, quick firing gun, and it's pretty nimble. True the 75mm has little punch and it's armor is paper but it's so much fun to drive. I love charging enemy tanks and constantly weaving back and forth dodging incoming rounds with it, granted I almost always get killed in the end. :)

I use it to pork fields and take down towns. However, if I am on a map I like (i.e. one with good cover at a spawn) I will take it out and go tank to tank. Against the panzer it can kill them without much problem dependent on your range. If the range is right you can take out a 76mm sherman, Panther, and a T34, if from the right angel/side. A tiger you better be at the six and close. I take it out when I want to do soemthing different and just have fun in the game.

yup thing to do is run and get an ambush going and get to the sides and behind and just throw everything at the engine black cross and turret and hope to that u turret it

Well its all I drive 2k of gv perks and i still drive the thing.
