Title: For the 68th guys
Post by: Rino on February 09, 2011, 07:03:08 PM
Was doing a little surfing and found this nice shot of a 68th TFS F4E from the early 80s.  It was based at Moody
AFB in Valdosta, Ga while I was stationed there.

I still like to read what the Juvats are doing in Korea, if you're going to live vicariously, you might as well go all the way.

Thanks Rino,

With the 68th de-activated, it is very difficult to find any of their historical pictures.  I contacted the history office there at Moody AFB and was told everything for the 68th had been boxed up.  Thanks for posting the pic!

Wonderful plane. I spent my childhood watching these and Mirages/Nesher/Kfir flying over my house. After that it got boring with all the F-something-teen... good planes but lack soul.
