LuftJägerKorps (http://www.luftjagerkorps.com/) is recruiting!
The following slots are open:
Black 16 in our 1st staffel - FILLED - Tin
Grey 25 in our 2nd staffel
Grey 26 in our 2nd staffel
A little about who we are looking for:
We are a warm, caring group of friends who love candle lit dinners, trips to the opera, and phone calls expressing romantic sentime... oh wait... wrong BB. We are looking for mature, capable people of any age who have a good sense of humor, an interest in WWII history, a predisposition to European Theatre Axis aircraft (we fly both German and Italian iron), and the desire to work as a team. We are a laid back group, and all we really expect from our members is to fly as a team, have a good time, and maybe learn a little something along the way. Individualism is a must, but lone-wolves who can't work with a wingman probably won't work out.
A little about LJK:
We were founded in January, 2000 as a (avert your eyes!) Fighter Ace II squadron. Most of our current roster are die hards who have been with the squadron for most of its existence, and are a varied group of nationalities and ages. We started flying Aces High in the summer/fall of 2000, and aside from some flirtations with WWIIOL, have been here in some way or another ever since. Our true adoption of AH came with the price drop, which got nearly all of us into the game, and it has really become the place we have felt most at home - and excelled, ranking 7th overall in AH squads last month... excuse me while I polish our collective fingernails. We are truly a group of friends, and we are always up for a discussion on our squadron board, a pickup game of the latest WWII game to hit the shelves, or to help each other figure out how to turn on our furnaces. We've got a constantly growing and evolving website that serves as an outlet for our love of history, with aircraft information, book, game, and movie information. Head on over to http://www.luftjagerkorps.com/ (http://www.luftjagerkorps.com/) to get the full scoop on us.
Our active AH roster consists of: Kratzer, Raubvgl, Wingnutx, Dern, LJKVR, LJKBear1, Glock22, Reschke, KampferA, BlitzNz
Expectations of membership:
1. No nazi, racist, sexist or extremist roadkill whatsoever - this is cause for immediate removal.
2. Will generally fly European Theatre Axis aircraft (german/italian), we won't bust your balls for flying other stuff, but these aircraft will be expected on squad night.
3. Must have experience with flight sims, and an intention to make LJK and AH your 'home'.
4. Expected to be active in the squadron, both in game, and on the squadron message board.
5. Expected to have more than a passing interest in WWII history.
6. Must be 18 or older, mature, and not easily offended by somewhat coarse language on BC :)
7. Must be able to make most squadron nights, which are currently at 8pm Eastern every Wednesday. Additionally, there is generally a group playing most other evenings, and during the day on weekends.
Process:
Potential recruits will be evaluated for a period of one week. After this week, if it looks like it is mutually agreeable, successful candidates will be added to the squad roster in AH. After an additional 3 weeks, if it still looks like a match, successful candidates will be added to the 'official' LJK roster on the website, and be considered full members of the squadron.
We use BattleComm as our squadron communications program, and have a dedicated server set up for this purpose.
Please, don't be shy about talking to us if you are interested - we are 'advertising' 3 slots, but we aren't going to turn away good people!

I am definately looking for a good home here in AH.
Was an active member of the CMC back in its AW days and was the Operations Officer at the time. Really enjoyed helping develop the weekly Squad Night operations :D
Unfortunately my work schedule prohibits me from participating in squad nights on Wen. :(
-
Pop on by our message board and introduce yourself, and tell us what your schedule is like. We aren't going to turn down the right people just because they can't make one night.
Hope to see you over there!

Looks interesting. However, should i ever fly with you guys, i would need a good instructor online at first, as my experience with the ME109 and FW190 are pretty thin..

going up again.

Tomorrow is our 2nd anniversary! I can't think of a better birthday present than to have some new faces come see what we are about! Hopefully we will be in the MA in force tomorrow to mark the occasion.
-
I flew with this squad in the TOD. Top Notch and alot of fun! Plus I fly with then every so often in the MA. Hook up with them on BattleCom and the action is great!
Super bunch of guys!!
Good Luck LJK!! :)
-
I'd like to join your squad but I dont have much money- how much does it cost?
-
More than you got Dern.
-
Where the hell is Wingnut
F.
-
You mean the "artist formerly known as" Wingnut now known as Grand Funk Master Wingy....:D
He is in the clubs mixing and playing some serious cuts for all those dancing fools in the area Missou.
-
hunh???
-
He is playing music DJ right now.
-
We've taken to calling him Sir-Mix-A-Nut.
He should be back sometime soon - he still hangs around the LJK board and bothers us. :)
-
Seems a fitting time to PUNT this. ;)
-
Welcome aboard to Taggart/Prof. Fate, the newest addition to our squadron!
