I heard a rumor that Travolta flies AH. It came up in the course of some squad blar during a long cruise. One of the squaddies asked the obvious question... "Travolta's got his own P51. Why would he bother to fly AH?" To which I could only reply, "the only reason I could see is because he doesn't get to shoot anyone in real life."
Mind, I don't necessarily care. I mean, if Vinnie Barbarino is on Vox, it's not changing anything for me. If he's enemy, I'll try to kill him, friendly and I'll try to clear his six. However, I'm just kind of curious if anyone has heard this, or similar rumors.

Now I'm curious about this.
Clearly, Pennie Marshall is too busy smoking a More120 on the crapper and probably hasn't got the inclination anyway. Thus, I'm wondering which colon cowboys got stuck with this unfortunate handle.

I'd vulch him.

Not sure that Travolta has a P-51..Tom Cruise does. Travoltas baby is a Boeing 707 and a handfull of other jets. Could be wrong...

So the rumor is true? Lusche actually is John Travolta? How does he find time to make all of those charts?

If he was on, well, lets just say his voice would give him away.
not necessarily. he's played a few charachters that you'd never know it was him if not for the credits at the end.

Travolta did live in a highly gated community (I won't say where) in a southern state that featured it's own runway(s) and private hangar facilities for those with aircraft who lived there. One of my friends who was a "neighbor" of his would mention sometimes when he heard Travolta's jet coming in to land that "Well, John's almost home".
If he still lives there or not I don't know--and wouldn't say if I did.
If he does play AH he is more than happy to come rook and fly with the 77th on VOX 170. We have plenty of old geezers that keep their mouths shut about non-game backgrounds.
-
He's in Florida with his own hangers and such.
A friend of mine has been in his home there. She works for an attorney.
-
There's also "rumors" that Jay Leno plays.
There are most probably many artists/celebs/etc. that also play but probably don't get on much or at non-prime-times.
Most likely all of those secrets lie in the HTC billing database and like with any business, private information is PRIVATE.

Yes, it's amazing what's out there in public. I'm sure the GRU used to love it.
I bothered to check what his current stable is - a couple of Gulfstreams, a 707, etc. His fleet was 5 max but never included a 51. That jag Cruise otoh...
-
This summer during "parent week" at the summer camps, I"ll have to make sure I do some squad recruiting when I'm at the airport. A few celebrities fly into an airport near my house here as it's big enough for their jets, but no security checkpoints. I've seen a few familiar faces. Last year, I even let one borrow my Garmin. He was concerned about finding his hotel, so I offered my garmin, as he would be returning to the airport the next day. He asked if I was sure, and I said "yeah, you have a 50 million dollar jet, I'm not worried about a $200 garmin. Sure enough, I got the garmin back with a $50 wrapped around it. They are people too, they put their pants on one leg at a time, and their poo DOES stink!!

LOL! Why would anyone tell you to keep it a secret when it wasn't one to begin with? If John Travolta wanted to keep it a secret where he lived, he wouldn't have had his house being featured in magazines when it was being built.

Hate to tell KING TROLL but Google Earth, Google, Yahoo, and the vast majority of KING TROLL's internet was nonexistent in 1990. There were very few permanent websites at the time and 21 years of hindsight is a wonderfull 20/20 for a troll.
In fact, most likely KING TROLL was in a bassinet sucking on a fudgecicle in 1990..or even later.
KING TROLL...PLEASE, inform us all of your extensive list of actors, comedians (or comediennes), recording artists, war heroes, and/or celebrities you have hugged, shook hands with, personally interviewed, or even exchanged mail or email with that know you by name or even know who you are. PLEASE Post the "extensive" list here, Oh, KING TROLL, and show us your greatness.
PS: Please note your station/magazine/company you were with at the time and best remembered year. Most of the responses are "user ignored" including KING TROLL so make sure they quote fully. I ignore trolls. (Thank you HTC.) And "you show first" is idiocy. You are asked to show your greatness so after you do I will post mine. Anything less is cowardess.
PSS: Sorry to all of those in my "ignore" list posting. If I don't post to your answers it's because the ignore list is a wonderful thing.

On the subject you know, its odd, I never really think of millionaire stars doing something like AHII because you think of what else they could do with that money and freedom, and hey, if it appeals to me, why not some of them? But I guess you can't spend EVERY night jetting to exotic locations on a plane full of cocaine and strippers, sometimes you just want to do something quiet at home.

Frankly, I'm disappointed. I started this stupid and fatuous topic expecting to be dragged through the mud for being trite and lazy. I mean, after all, who really cares and, if I did, I probably should've at least bothered to check public sources before yapping here about it. Here it's gone and turned into some kind of brakeless semi.
However, let me continue to throw lit butts into the rattlesnake pile with some additional questions.
1. Is the comment about Steve Martin playing based on anything or is it merely a joke?
2. Does anyone disagree that repeatedyl vulching Tom Cruise would be worthwhile, especially if it was done by a Conga line of players such that L'il Tommy was NEVER actually able to get airborne, no matter when, where, or how many times he attempted to do so?
3. I think the disgruntled name dropper is referring to Ack-Ack when he calls out "King Troll". Is this correct? It's terrible to see those two squared off like this. Can I have some more, please? After all, King Troll's assertions about being in the inner circle are pretty self-aggrandizing (not that there's anything wrong with that) and Ack-Ack is just so insufferably Ack-Ack.
4. When some of these guys practice their proclivities together, do they like to be the pitcher or the catcher? Do they do it before or after beating their wives?

Actually regarding point 3... Ack-Ack was what you could call in the "Inner Circle" in AirWarrior. He was a techie for CH Products back then and helped a ton of the folks in AirWarrior and was close to the main folks at Kesmai studios. He helped me out several times and asked nothing in return. Yeah I know that he has an in-game persona but I gotta admit that I respect him for his skill and the fact that he will tell you how it is and not sugar-coat it regardless if you like it or not and I have to admit that I don't always agree with him.
regarding famous folks... I don't really know of any other than the original music director for SNL from 75-80, he is the composer of a large number of movie music scores. He was my wingie for years and his only wish was to just "fly in peace", away from the spotlight and just be a regular guy. If we have famous personalities flying with us, let em have what little bit of normalcy that they can garner.
All the Best...

I've seen enough of Ack-Ack to reckon that he's, if not necessarily my kind of scum, an admirable kind of scum. Don't get me wrong. I have notihng but love in my heart for the way he routinely applies his rapier to the sword-and-buckler crowd. That might not have come across, probably because I'm no stranger to sarcasm.
Otherwise, yes, let the famous fly in peace. The topic was just for sheets and greens - and took off on me.

Hell, he won't even duel me. I scare him so much he pees his pants. If he's scared like a little girl of an 18-24 month clown, you know he's hiking up his skirts to run from a monster like you.
Yeah, how 'bout it Johnny? Drawn P-39D's at 600 yards...
-
aww I'm not a monster! The difference in being an easy kill or beating that guy you thought was a monster last week can be as little as one mental leap away. Any player could make that small step at any moment and come back and win 3-0 to the same guy next week. A tiny advantage in experience can sometimes produce constant victory. We're all not that far apart as it seems.

Answer to #4: Personally, I play for the other team...except for that short prison term, but we all know that doesn't count.....
yet all baseball players know its better to be a catcher, cause pitchers don't know squat!!...(pardon the pun) And what do you call a guy who hangs out with baseball athletes? A pitcher.......... ETC. ETC.
and as for beating the wife....I never, ever beat her...at bowling.
Lastly, if you reading this tom cruise...I would have a keen SA on the takeoffs..... just saying bro.

Not AH but a few years ago I used to do online racing on the same server and league with a bunch of the NASCAR drivers. Was "introduced" by a guy I used to work with who is the grandson of Bobby Allison's crew chief. We both raced online and talked about it for a long time before he gave the server information to me. This was around the time that Papyrus was pushed out of the NASCAR game series by EA and NASCAR. Best online racing time I ever had was a couple of races in NASCAR 2003 on the Martinsville and Watkins Glen. Man those were fun races with those guys cutting up on BattleCom, Roger Wilco and Teamspeak.

Yeah. He squads over there with Greg Loubanus, Fred Snyder, Elton John, Boy George, that indeterminately-sexed singer from Erasure, the ghost of Liberace, Paul Lynde, Charles Nelson Reilly, Brian Boitano, and any other screamin' eagle/blue falcon you'd care to mention.
THe thing about PeeWee, though, is how talented he is. I mean, back when I was in college, the high point (and that term could be applied in a number of ways) of the week was definitely wake-and-bake Saturday mornings with Pee-Wee's playhouse. How that one got a kid's programming time slot will forever elude me. That's not to mention his role in Blow or his cameo in the Blues Bros. Back when I lived in Chicago, he was something like a local icon.
I frequent Sarasota as well - apparently his family is down there and has some money. They took some pains, word was, to keep the story of his little in-theater "jacket off" routine quiet. Supposedly, the film he was viewing was called "Tiger Sharks". I suspect it was g-porn but have not bothered to research this. Why? Because PeeWee's kind of special, somehow.
Thanks for the memories, PeeWee. Best I can remember, those were good times.

ROFLMAO
Ok this was fun, actually roll both Belushi and Wayne together, add a dash of 3's company's John Ritter and you might be getting close.
Several people have been to AH Con's that I have attended can clear that one up for sure. :)
As for Travolta, as long as he pays his 15$ every month I could care less.
You don't see him starting crazy threads like this one, or causing problems. Heck I bet he's never even been muted. :)

Ghost is not John Belushi, he is John Wayne !
