we need air to air rockets for 163 and 262, and maybe those air bombs the japs used on bomber.
-
Should have include in my thread that the 163 used the same rockets as the 262, R-4/M. However, this is a A-0 and we have "B" which i have not yet read anything of them using rockets. Also, i believe that Germany only tested on the 163 and find it not successful do to time flight of the AC among other factors of it.

No on the 163. You can clearly tell that's an early prototype in the photo. Some of those weren't even powered (they were towed gliders to test handling).
Yes on the 262. It's been requested many times and will continue to be! 262 pilots would love to play around with these rockets!

Gosh DARN It...... Twice in one day, I'm gonna log. :cry
Krusty & oakranger are right about the 163, this one doesn't appear have cannons. Plus in AH, way to many people would wind up flying straight into the rocket's flight path and blow themselves up along with their target. That's when the whines would really start. :salute
BIG PLUS ONE for the A-1a/R-1.

That is because that is a A-0, as i stated. And the 262 used the R-4/M

As long as the topic is the air-to-air rockets. The WGR21 tubes could be detached in flight. This would be nice to un-cripple any acft using them.

I wonder if they could released the tubes after they have been used.

HTC has said not to that. WGr21 tubes could, in extreme emergency, be jettisoned. However they were valuable reusable war material. In AH they'd be jettisoned as soon as fired. It would not be used properly (thrown away at a whim) and it would be the constant norm rather than the rare emergency.
